Family dinner for a special occasion, with a total spend just under $900. Given the calibre and pricing of the restaurant, we were expecting a higher standard of service. Service overall was average. One steak was sent back, and we attempted to send back a second, but the waiters appeared too busy to assist, so it was eaten regardless. Another steak arrived with a long strand of hair on it, and the ribs were served without the accompanying sauce. One disappointing point was with my 85-year-old father, who simply wanted water. We were told a jug could not be left on the table, and unfortunately staff did not return to refill his glass. The food had potential, but the service issues and lack of attention to detail let the experience down. Unfortunately, we won’t be back, especially when there are far better steak houses on the Gold Coast. Attached image is 1.3kg tomahawk. $195
My family booked the Tuesday night 3 course special. The food, service and experience was fantastic. Thankyou to our waitress Holly for bringing a great personality and excellent recommendations. We will be back again!
As always the food was on point. Some of the best food on the Gold Coast. But and this is a big but. The service was horrific. From our host that seated us to the service staff. We were just left in the corner. We were there for about two hours and was offered on round of drinks. No desert offered. Just gave us our food and one round of drinks and the bill!
We’ve just finished a wonderful lunch at Red’s Kitchen and Bar. The food was really good. We started off with a shared plate of Coffin Bay oysters. They were a good size and full of flavour. We then went our separate ways. My partner reported the calamari and barramundi were both excellent. I was lucky enough to try a piece of the calamari and can confirm that it was full of flavour and had a melt in the mouth consistency. I ordered the waygu and chorizo meatballs. This consisted of about half a dozen small meatballs in a tomato based sauce with melted cheese. They were superb. The highlight for me was the waygu burger. The meat was perfectly cooked and presented with cheese, pickles and French fries. Just right for lunch. I had an Asahi Zero to start with and then the house red. It’s reasonably priced and pleasant drinking with a burger. Finally we need to record our appreciation of Isabela. She did a wonderful job guiding us through the menu, explaining the options etc. She proactively sought out an explanation of a brief delay in the service of our meals and told us when to expect them. Sure enough they turned up just when she said they would. She made a good lunch great.
I had 3course Lunch with my friends, the food was well presented, my fish was cooked for perfection, and portion size was very generous. Also the wait staff were very attentive as well. The atmosphere of the venue was very stylish, lovely water view from the window. suitable for get together lunch or romantic dinner. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.
