Refuge for Men offers a truly one-of-a-kind barbershop experience. The semi-private space makes the whole appointment feel personal and unrushed. Dot was incredibly professional and welcoming. I asked for advice on what to do with my haircut, and their recommendation turned out perfect. The space itself is stunning. Thoughtfully curated artwork, great music, and an overall vibe that made me feel comfortable and taken care of. I left not only happy with my haircut, but also with styling tips that actually work for me. I am over the moon happy with my haircut! Dot is amazing and I will never let anyone else cut my hair again. The entire experience was so fantastic. And the barbershop really had a powerful feeling of being in a safe space. It was “More than just a haircut” for sure. Dot is a Richmond treasure.

The best in all of Richmond. Their new "location" is at the same place, but only upstairs now. My personal recommendation for a cut is Dot. She will never disappoint you, delivering the same quality cut each and every time you visit. Once you've gone you won't be able to go anywhere else. Top notch place, the most inviting people, and the only place I will ever go for a cut. 👍

I've been to all the fancy barbers in Richmond like High Point, but here at Refuge for Men, I felt valued as a customer. I got a cut from Craig and it was one of the nicest cuts I got in Richmond! He was accommodating and listened to what I wanted. Will definitely go back to Refuge and ask for Craig.
