It saddens me to have to make a post like this, but unfortunately it has come to that. I was genuinely excited to finally visit this shop. I’m currently working on a home project and have been searching for picture frames at various antique stores, and I knew this place would likely have exactly what I was looking for. While browsing, I urgently needed to use the restroom. I tried to hold off until I left, but I am very pregnant and simply could not. When I politely asked to use the restroom, I was denied by an older woman with white hair. What made the situation even worse was not just the refusal, but the way it was delivered … the tone, the facial expressions, and the looks exchanged with a younger employee made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and belittled. You would have thought I was asking for free merchandise based on how I was treated …not a basic human courtesy as a paying customer. As a woman herself, I would hope there would be some understanding that pregnancy is already physically demanding. Instead, I was made to feel unwelcome and embarrassed over a simple request to use the ladies’ room. Because of this experience, I left immediately. It’s truly a shame, because I genuinely wanted to enjoy this shop and support local businesses. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and compassion made that impossible.
