I have been coming here for about 6 months and have loved my experience. I came in with a boxing background and had little to no experience with kicks, elbows, knees, and the footwork that goes with it. Alan and Alex have helped me improve my skills exponentially in such a short time and are very attentive and willing to help on an individual level with form, technique, or any questions I may have. Every class is challenging and I never leave feeling like I have more to give. The kickboxing classes are cardio and strength based and the Muay Tai classes, while still cardio and strength conducive, offer a chance to improve technique with partner work and sparring. Very appreciative that I found Riverview Martial Arts!
Joining the kickboxing class has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my mental and physical health. The instructor Alan is incredibly motivating, knowledgeable, and makes every session feel empowering. The environment is positive, supportive, and welcoming no matter your fitness level. Highly recommend the self defense class at Riverview Martial Arts and Fitness. My 3 daughters took the class before they left for college. The instructor is great at discussing awareness and presenting options to prepare yourself when you think you may be attacked. This in class experience surpasses watching a video or reading about how to handle an attack. Even if you or your daughter remembers just one thing from taking this class (lock your car door, then put your seat belt on like it's second nature), it was worth every minute!
