Have my honda cbr650r a minor service and tires replacement. Only cost me $660. I have recommended my friend to Rick's shop.
Rick is a motorcyclist, racer and an excellent mechanic. Needed a valve check on 2014 Triumph street triple and other minor items. His quote was detailed and less expensive than other shops. I like a shop where you feel you can eat off any surface it’s so clean and organized. It’s been 3 weeks since I got my bike back and it’s running as good as new. I would have given him 5 stars except for the time it takes to get it done. I went by the shop to schedule appointment and he said call back at the end of the month he is currently backed up. I called back 3 weeks later and he said call in a week. I called back and we set a date for July 8th. When I came in on the 8th he didn’t have me in his schedule. I live 20 miles away and had to get a ride back so I left the bike. Rick said it would be about a week so I called back and he hadn’t started it yet. He said he would start it soon. I didn’t hear from him so I called again and he said it would be ready the following week. I called on Monday and he said it should be ready end of Tuesday. I took a chance and arranged a ride for Wednesday morning and he just completed it. Very frustrating. Rick went over the work and observations, work I may want to consider and noted he saw some scaring and recommended I use a better oil and not rev the engine after I start it. He did tell me when I first visited the shop it would take a week and if I wanted it faster take it somewhere else. Although I like Rick and respect his knowledge and repair work, I wish he would communicate better and set to a schedule. Like many riders I rely on my bike daily. 2 weeks for a valve adjustment doesn’t seem right. 2 other shops I have taken Japanese bikes to, quoted 2 days but double what Rick charged. I will bring my bike to Rick again, I trust his work, but at least I know what to expect in regards to time.
RMC Moto – The most frustrating shop I’ve ever dealt with. If you love your bike, avoid this place. Dropped my bike off on July 8 for a simple ignition issue (likely the relay). They said they’d inspect it by July 10 — but a week passed, and they did nothing. Every time I politely called (2-min check-ins), I got rude replies like: “Stop calling. Just take it somewhere else.” No updates. No inspection. Yet they charged me $80 for "diagnosis" and quoted $90 for a $20 relay part. So I finally moved my bike to another shop. And guess what? They fixed it in ONE hour using the relay I already had. I paid two towing fees, wasted a week, and was treated with zero respect. This place doesn’t care about your time, your bike, or you. You deserve better. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
Rick and his team helped bring my Honda Metropolitan 50cc scooter back to life after it was badly damaged from a theft. I’m grateful that Rick discussed my options with me, provided an affordable yet comprehensive quote, and even helped me figure out how to get the cost of repairs within my budget. My bike was quickly fixed and now works great again. I highly recommend RMC Moto for your motorcycle repair and maintenance needs. Helpful, organized, and quality service.
Rick is an outstanding mechanic. Very patient with customers and takes the time to explain the work done and gives a lot of tips to new riders like me. I've been going there for oil change, clutch cable change, changing levers, and the service is excellent with a reasonable price. Will be going back for any bike related services for sure!!
