We went to dinner here last night and had a mixed experience. When we arrived, we were hoping to get seats at the bar. Before we could even receive a drink menu, the host approached us, asked if we had reservations, and immediately told us there would be a waitlist for the bar. When we asked if we could get drinks while waiting, she said yes, but told us we needed to take them outside because we were “crowding the bar” and then walked away without even getting our information to be on the waitlist for the bar. The host was very rude in both her tone and demeanor, which was surprising and disappointing. We were standing in the open area of the bar, and have gotten drinks in that exact spot before without any issue. Afterward, she went over to another staff member, pointed at us, and gave us very unpleasant looks — and then proceeded to allow other guests to sit at the bar who did not have reservations. The interaction made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and it really set a negative tone for the evening. Thankfully, the manager, Paige, completely turned things around. She was incredibly kind and welcoming, found us a high-top table, and made sure we were taken care of. From that point on, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The carpaccio was absolutely delicious, and the agnolotti was truly to die for. Overall, the food and service were fantastic, but the experience at the host stand was disappointing and unfortunately put a damper on what could have been a perfect night. I hope this is addressed, because everything else about the restaurant is wonderful.

This restaurant truly stands up to its Michelin star status. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. We reserved the dry aged Rohan duck ahead of time and it did not disappoint. The lemon spaghetti with blue crab had perfect texture on the spaghetti and creamy citrus flavor. Our dinner was topped off with a satisfying chocolate expresso custard.

We had such an amazing experience at Rocco. This is some of the best pasta we’ve ever had. We loved the Agnolotti and the mozzarella cart! Also the cocktails blew us away as well. My favourite was the ricotta melon. So delicious.

Me and my roommates visited Rocca in Tampa recently (we live at The Pearl, so it was a nice quick walk over to visit our neighbors 😄) and the whole experience was genuinely impressive. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, inviting, and effortlessly classy. The service flowed smoothly, the food and drinks were on point, and the atmosphere made it easy for all of us to settle in and enjoy the night. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality from the bar team; especially their lead, Brennen. He has that rare mix of professionalism and personality that makes you feel like more than just guests. He paid attention to what each of us liked, made great recommendations, and managed the bar with a level of ease and confidence that set the tone for the entire team. You can tell he leads by example, because everyone behind the bar had that same positive energy and attention to detail. It’s rare to find a spot where the environment, the drinks, and the hospitality all align so perfectly, but Rocca delivered. We left feeling taken care of and honestly excited to come back. Definitely one of the best experiences we’ve had in Tampa.

We had a great experience at Rocca. Service was solid from start to finish, and our server Jeff was amazing. We ordered the mozzarella cart, bread service, two cocktails, the Agnolotti, Spaghetti al Limone, the steak, and the apple tart. The mozzarella cart was really good and the cocktails were great. Bread was fine. The Agnolotti was absolutely spectacular and easily the standout of the night. The Spaghetti al Limone was delicious. The steak was just okay and a bit tough for wagyu, but the green beans that came with it were outstanding. We took the apple tart to go and it was pretty average. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely come back, especially for the pasta.
