January 1st, 2026 I woke up and found our back patio flooded. Even with the new French drains we just had installed, the water was not draining from the backyard to the front of the house. Raul Bolas from Rooter Hero Plumbing arrived in a timely manner, especially considering it was January first of the new year. Raul was a savior and we appreciate his professionalism. Before starting he looked at our problem and explained his process and up front pricing. I respect that, so we know what we’re getting into. Raul snaked the drain line from the street and encountered tree roots obstructing the line. Even being out in the rain and foul weather, Raul made multiple passes with his machine, pulling out more roots each time. He didn’t stop until the entire patio was free of standing water. Raul was efficient and knew exactly what to do. I really appreciate the fact he continued running the machine through our drain to get all the roots that were causing this problem. It was windy, raining and cold outside, and he didn’t stop until he took care of our problem. I will use this company again if we have future plumbing issues, and I can easily recommend Rooter Hero Plumbing & Air. I hope you get Raul Bolas taking care of your family as well.
A drain in the back yard backed up flooding our living room. We called another national company who came 3 times, claiming all drains were cleared and clean and told us it was OK to repair living room. Few weeks later another rain. Drains had not cleaned resulting in another living room flood. Same company came again, but could not remove roots from drain. They suggested getting a contractor to replace a 6" x 60 ft. drain, bypassing existing drain. Instead, we called Rooter Hero. They came as promised and within an hour removed 12' of roots that had been the problem. Juan (Eddie) and Anthony were fantastic. Polite, cheerful and thorough. Rooter Hero is the Best.
This is my second review for them (Angel Lira fixed a shower drain for me back in Dec 2024), and once again, they exceeded my expectations. I worked closely with Enrique Moreno, who was incredibly prompt and professional. I was dealing with a clogged toilet and a backed-up sewage line, which Enrique and Angel diagnosed as a complex issue involving overgrown roots and a misaligned flange. They had to saw-cut and chip into the concrete slab foundation to level the surface, replace the flange and place the concrete back, apply root killer as a preventative measure, yet managed to complete the entire repair within the same day. The pricing was reasonable, especially considering the 5-year warranty included. I am thoroughly satisfied with the quality of work and highly recommend them to anyone in San Diego needing reliable plumbing services!
Where to start. Well it was a Saturday morning when I noticed a cesspool of sewer water all over my backyard. It.was.bad. I called around. Yelp and google got some recommendations for me. Rooter hero was able to come out the soonest. Shamir was easy to talk with. Told me what they would be doing. They hydro blasted my line. Ran a camera and used some high speed gadget to trace where my line was underground. Cool stuff. Even let me look at the monitor as they were running the camera thru my line. I thought that was cool letting me see that. Well they used some serious technology to snake my sewer line. Nothing was working. Eventually they would come out the next day, Sunday to solve this mystery. They orchestrated a lot more technology and equipment because they were intrigued by the mystery. I appreciated that because they didn’t want to leave me in a desperate situation. Sunday nothing. Monday they made some adjustments and yes they did get my permission before hand. Adam sat me down and gave me the rundown in terms of cost and financing. Told me everything and made it affordable so I can make those monthlies. Even their supervisor, Mr. Kevin came out and stayed with the team all day Thursday because of how much of an anomaly this was. He called in his connections and explained to me several options and avenues of approach. In the end, the mystery was resolved. You will have to reach out to Mr. Kevin to figure out what the mystery was. I will say, Shamir, Mr. Kevin, Angel, Anthony, and several others I can’t recall right now (forgive me fellas) that gave me the confidence that I wasn’t alone and that they would keep working until the mystery was solved. Now during this process, I’m seeing dollar signs fly out my wallet because it was taking some time and a lot of resources. Keep in mind I still have sewage pooling up in my backyard. But Adam always came back and let me know they will work with me on the cost. And he did. It was still affordable and the job was completed. My sewage no longer pooling in my backyard. Shamir would always stick around to make sure things were taken care of especially towards the end when things were winding down. Rooter hero never abandoned me or made me feel helpless or hopeless. Thank you, Rooter Hero. Job well done.
Eric did a fantastic job overseeing the big project at my house. He was very attentive even though he was always busy and knee deep in the middle of working, he never hesitated to step away and answer any question my wife or I had. He addresses every concern immediately and displayed excellent customer service skills and understanding. He not only excelled in customer service, but was equally skilled in his craft. The manager, Adam, was a pleasure to work with. He also was attentive and responsive if I ever reached out with a question or concern. This project took over a week and was quite invasive to our property The team at Rooter Hero made dealing with the incident bearable because of their empathy, customer service, and technical skill.
