We visited after reading the Google reviews and they lived up to the hype. We waited about 10 minutes on a weekday, which was totally reasonable. The fusion here is genuinely unique and thoughtfully done. Everything we tried had good flavor and felt well put together. What really stood out, though, was the service. The team came to each table asking what we liked and what they could improve, which you don’t see very often. What we ordered: • Paneer Masala Fries – 4/5 • Mac & Cheese Pakoda – 3/5 • Dosa Quesadilla – 5/5 (absolute standout, must-try) Since it was our first visit, they gave us gulab jamun on the house. It was freshly made in-house and tasted great. That’s rare these days, especially when most places just serve canned or frozen gulab jamun warmed up. Overall, a good experience with creative food, good flavors, and genuinely attentive service. Definitely an worth checking out if you’re into Indian fusion.
Exceptional service along with delicious food by very courteous foodie people here at Roots. 💯😋 Special shout out to Manasa for being a wonderful host for the evening. ✨😊 (Ofcourse I cannot not mention the chai, wow, the stress reliever). ☕😌 Ohh and the aroma of the dishes we couldn't resist for a moment to take a pic for main dishes. 📸👃 And I would definitely recommend for authentic indian food here in LA. 🇮🇳👍 (Chana Masala, Dal, and Chaat Nachos) 🍛🌶️ Kudosssss to all the people working here, may you have a wonderful holidays. I would be coming back for sure.
My wife and I visited Roots Indian Bistro a couple of weeks back while we were in Los Angeles, and we are so glad we did. We’re from Minnesota and while we do have access to great Indian food back home, we often have to search for it. Walking into Roots felt like discovering a gem, we were genuinely blown away. The food was exceptional across the board. We ordered the chana chalupa, which was outstanding, along with a thali, pani puri (gol gappas), and dessert. Every single dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully done. Truly some of the best Indian food we’ve had in the United States. But despite how great the food was, the real highlight of our visit was the service. Noor was extraordinary. Warm, gracious, and incredibly welcoming. She answered all our questions with kindness and a smile, and she made us feel right at home. She even gave us a handwritten note, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience feel personal and memorable. Service was prompt, attentive, and heartfelt. Parking wasn’t a challenge when we arrived, which was a pleasant bonus. All in all, Noor’s hospitality elevated an already fantastic meal into something truly special. We will absolutely be returning the next time we’re in Los Angeles. Highly recommend!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE! My chicken biryani was soooo yummy and the sauce that came with it was 10/10. Also loved the refreshing lemonade, the little dessert we got, and the chicken tikka masala. The real star of the show was MANASA, our amazing server! She was so kind and made the place feel so welcoming and friendly. She has the best hospitality I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. Thank you to Manasa for the extra rice pudding that was also delicious! A really delicious and friendly restaurant that I will be bringing many more friends to.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I just went to this Indian restaurant last night 2-3hrs before closing, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed — the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and everyone there made me feel right at home. Our waiter, Noor, was so sweet! and such a kind person 🥹. You could just feel the good energy from everyone working there. Now the food… oh my gosh, absolutely delicious! The flavors of every dish were so unique and full of taste — by far the best Indian food I’ve ever had. You can tell they put so much love and care into their cooking. Everything came out fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned! There yogurt was yummy! There’s literally no complaints about this place, at all. If you’re looking for a place that not only serves incredible food but also makes you feel genuinely welcomed, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be coming back!
