Came here as a booking for 10 people on Tuesday evening (6:30pm). Could not fault the food one bit, pizza was really nice so no complaints there! However, once the full group had arrived, we were not approached by any staff member to take orders for drink or food. Instead, I had to grab the attention of a server to take our first drinks order, which took a while to come. When it did arrive, my drink was wrong (full fat coke rather than Diet Coke) however the server did swap it for me once I went over to him and let him know. It was 7:30 pm by the time we had ordered food, which, again I had to stand up and ask the staff member to come over and take our order. The food arrived in reasonable time and like i said, was really enjoyable. There was no drinks check in, so AGAIN we had to go over to the staff and ask for more drinks. I’d understand if it was busy, but I could see multiple members of staff stood talking, or very slowly wiping down tables nearby and it was not even busy. When we got the bill, there was a £22 service charge added on. Usually we don’t mind, and we didn’t want to take it off and cause a problem, however we did not feel the service was worth even £1, let alone £22. Semi decent restaurant overall and the food was great, just train your staff better for future. I literally felt like I was annoying the staff by just being there… it’s your job! - Sincerely, a fellow hospitality employee
Lovely food at Rudy's, we both enjoyed our pizzas and the complimentary dip trio we received. The restaurant had a great buzz / vibe when we went (Fri night) and while the staff were generally lovely, we did find it difficult to flag a server down at busy periods. My mocktail also came in an incredibly sticky glass which wasn't worth complaining about, it was just inconvenient. We still really enjoyed our visit, would return.
Absolutely loved our visit to Rudy’s! The pizza was incredible — proper Neapolitan style with that perfect soft, chewy base and just the right amount of char. You can tell the dough is made fresh daily, and the toppings were top-quality and full of flavour. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. We didn’t have to wait long, and everything came out hot and fresh. It’s great value too — amazing quality for the price, especially for a city-centre restaurant. We’ll definitely be coming back soon. If you love authentic Italian pizza, Rudy’s is a must-try! 🍕🇮🇹
🎶 Rudy, Rudy, Rudy, Rudy! 🎶 Honestly, this place just kneads to be celebrated. I’ve visited a few Rudy’s locations now, and they never disappoint. The dough is soft, slightly sweet, and perfectly crisp. A crust above the rest. 🍕 I went for the Triple Pepperoni (because why stop at one?) with a rocket and Parmesan salad on the side you know, to balance the diet. Washed it all down with a Peroni Zero to make me feel like I was being healthy. 😅 Walked in without a reservation and somehow scored a bar seat either I was lucky, or the pizza gods were smiling. Food arrived in about 20 minutes, which is fair when you’re waiting for pure, freshly baked perfection. I’ll definitely be back again whether it’s this branch or another one on my travels. 🍕
Ordered a boozy lemonade, garlic bread, a couple of pizzas some ice cream, and because the waiter was feeling generous, a lemoncello on the house! Amazing authentic food at reasonable prices especially keeping in mind premium location next to the train station, service was very good despite us not having a booking (we were heading for Jodhpur but it was closed ☹️), one of the lads took a 30min wait down to 10-15min by reshuffling booking arrangements (not everyone does this) for us two be seated, very accomadating Staff despite business and the atmosphere was very industrial/ contemporary whilst being homely, pizza is cooked, and bar are as part of open plan layout, bringing in natural light via high ceilings. Will definitely be taking my wife's parents when they arrive in the UK 😎 We spent £50 betwixt the two of us, but £10-20 per person should be ok, as my wife and I just came from 3hrs of tennis and ate like there's no tomorrow! 😄
