My fiancé and I came here hoping for a good experience with their Ramen as everywhere else in town is not good. All I have to say is I will be back weekly! The tantanmen was phenomenal and the shoyu was amazing as well! Good Ramen being back in Lincoln since losing Amu Manu is the best thing that could have happened!!!!

We went there last week on a Sunday and were really excited to try their food. However our ramens were all salty to the point where we tried so hard to finish our food because we didn’t want to waste food. Our server didn’t even smile at us and had a detached expression on his face the whole time, he was the only serve in the restaurant so we tried to be understanding. At the end we told him about our food being salty but only received an “okay” from him, nothing else. Didn’t have the best experience and wasn’t the best restaurant.

Sakura achieves what many local Japanese restaurants strive to. It provides a delightful atmosphere and unique menu full of delightful choices along with friendly and helpful staff. My partner and I came in on a whim and by the end of the meal I was planning what I was going to order the next time I came in. We decided that the best option when neither of us was capable of making a choice was to try a little bit of everything. Their happy time menu features a sake flight where you can try 5 different sake, all of which delicious, for what feels like a steal. For appetizers we tried both the mango crab rangoons and the chicken breast yakitori. The later of which left me momentarily speechless. I tried their Miso Tuskemen, and while I do not often clear my plate, I certainly did tonight. My partner instead opted for their salmon hibachi. Personally, its been years since I last had a cut of salmon melt in my mouth like butter. When all was said and done we caved and opted to give their homemade banana pudding a try and I almost wish we hadn't decided to share it. I cannot begin to explain how much I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for somewhere new to try or to add to their regular rotation. I know we will certainly be adding it to ours.
