This was an amazing meal (asada tacos on fresh handmade corn tortillas). The red and green salsa were perfect… great on chips and a great addition to the already flavorful tacos. Fast friendly service… Worth every penny.

Never disappoints! So delicious, I always get the spicy mole con pollo and another dish to complement, today was the nachos. Authentic, makes homemade tortilla and nacho chips, and a huge selection of homemade salsas and hot sauces. Edit: the first time I came here I ordered a large order of tamales, and they gave me two free of their ultra-local specialty which was tamales with mussels. It’s a local Oaxaca coastal specialty.

A great new find on my latest visit to Anchorage. Salsa Oaxaqueña is a welcoming and humble spot in the Spenard neighborhood that packs a punch with its authentic Oaxacan food. I had the enchiladas plate with spicy mole, shared a yummy chicken tamale, and enjoyed a champurrado (hot chocolate like drink) that warmed me up on a cold day. Service was very friendly and efficient. Prices are fair for large portions and I boxed up almost half of the enchiladas to take with me. I strongly recommend a visit and will be back next time I’m in Anchorage!

I love their Enchiladas con Salsa Verde. Even the black beans and rice are just so dang good. Someday I'll try something else on the menu. There are so many good dishes: pozole, mole, homemade tortillas, and more. Definitely try the roasted jalapeños from the salsa bar.

Visiting from Texas and this place was amazing!! My friend (who lives here) and she found this place cause we both love authentic Mexican food. Oaxaca is one of the towns we wanted to visit. The place is nice, clean and not crowded. We got to choose where we sat. Immediately the server brought us some waters and the menu. We ordered guacamole, chicken mole, oaxcanoia tacos, tamales and shrimp tacos. If you are not into spicy let them know and they will tone it down. Everything was amazing. Honestly you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Freshly made tortillas, guacamole made to order. Flavors bursting on my pallet!! 10/10 I would recommend!! Oh and the hibiscus drink!!! Loved Loved!!
