I invite everyone to take advantage of this nice boat trip, through Houston ship Chanel,is about 90 min and it takes you thru this maritime landscape. You get a view of different ships from all over the world. This chanel is an historic site.very relaxing and great for all family members. You just got to call and reserve. The staff gives you a brief description inside the boat. There's comfortable seats inside and after the brief introduction you are invited to go on deck and enjoy the trip.is very rewarding and to make it even better is absolutely FREE !!! yes its free and you also get free refreshments halfway of the trip. Its great for kids for teens for adults, for everybody. Is in the city, you dont have to drive miles away to get to this point of interest. There's plenty of parking. The recommendation is to be there at least 30 minutes earlier, To get aboard. Nothing was required for our group when we were here. This young lady and two young men were very helpful, very polite and answer all questions with a smile. They really take part to make this attraction very memorable. Once you reach the point of return the boat turns back to the starting point and immediately you are able to get back to land. There's restrooms superclean,in case you need one after enjoying free drinks on the boat.sodas bottles of water and coffe Your choice !!! Ihighly recommend this one of a kind experience in City of Houston.
Totally enjoyed the boat tour. I recommend that you go and see the cargo ships in the port of Houston.
There's not much you can do for free these days. And chances are, if it's free it probably isn't that great. This is a huge exception to that! It's a fun, educational (those two are not mutually-exclusive), and scenic visit to a world most of us never see -- big-time commercial shipping. The reason I gave 4 rather than 5 stars is because of handicap accessibility. I am disabled by a stroke, which in my case means I have very limited mobility on one side. The boat is really not very accessible. For one thing, while there are restrooms aboard, they are below decks, down a pretty steep gangway. For someone like me, they might as well be on Mars. Also, the waiting area on the dock has no shade at all, which can make for a very unpleasant wait on a hot, sunny day. I was very uncomfortable. That being said, the crew is very friendly and professional, and as helpful as they could be, given the circumstances. Overall, if you're in pretty good shape, this can be a great ride. But if you have mobility issues or don't handle heat well, consider carefully whether this is for you.
Great fun with a large group! AC inside boat. They offered free complimentary coffee and sodas.
It was awesome. Seeing Houston in a new way and hearing the history gives you a new appreciation. The staff was attentive, nice, and available everywhere for our safety and questions. I met some people who have been waiting 2 years for the opportunity! Yes, it can take time to be able to get tickets. It's not something you can plan for at the last minute. My heart broke to see the wildlife on the shores and banks surrounded by plastic water bottles! We have to do better, seriously considering giving up my plastic water consumption. You see the commercials, but once you see it in person, it really hits home.
