What a gem! As usual upon arrival to my wife’s award ceremony I found that I had no tie to go with her dress. I was planning some crazy pilgrimage to a Macy’s or some place downtown to buy a $120 piece of clothing I’ll wear 4 more times in my life. While searching for suitable coffee I found this store. Welcoming and friendly, I was put upon a gorgeous pair of ties ($45 for the two). I wished I had just done all my shopping for clothes at his store, would have been easier to pack! Nice selection of well curated Men’s clothes, shirts, suits, jeans and accessories. Thank you!

I recently had a wonderful experience at Sam’s Tailor Shop located in the Detroit Renaissance Center, and I feel compelled to share it. As an employee at the RenCen, I was dismayed to discover a big visible hole on the side of my dress at the seam during work hours. In urgent need of a quick fix, I approached Sam’s Tailor Shop hoping for a safety pin to get me through the day. To my delight, the kind gentleman there, who appeared to be the owner, went above and beyond. Not only did he swiftly mend the tear and secure the loose thread, he graciously did so free of charge. This act of kindness was not only a testament to the shop's excellent customer service but also a reflection of the shop’s dedication to the community. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and the decrease in building tenants, Sam’s Tailor Shop has persevered, continuing to offer exceptional service. It’s small businesses like this that truly enrich our community, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to help out in times of need. I highly recommend Sam’s Tailor Shop for not only emergency repairs but for any tailoring needs. Excellent work. I've brought two suits (one for a wedding and one for a funeral) and an overcoat here now, and each time, the work has been impeccable. The suits needed some significant work around the back and shoulders, and both times turned out exactly as I wanted them to. Turnaround time was very reasonable, as well; I'm very impressed.
