Captain Travis took me and my husband on a morning fishing trip at calavaras lake. We had an amazing time and caught some very large reds. Travis was very informative and a great host. We had a blast! Can't wait to book another trip for catfish season!!!!

I normally don’t write reviews, but I am compelled to make an exception this time. San Antonio Fishing Charters is an excellent, veteran-owned business that knows the difference between a “fishing trip” and a “fishing experience”. Our outing with San Antonio Fishing Charters was definitely a fishing experience. So, I want to put this into proper context. It was our first time being on a fishing boat and we had two members of our group celebrating their birthdays (so it was a special day). We not only caught our maximum allowed amount of fish (for four people), we talked about everything with our fishing guide, Travis (owner), from military, music, family, and of course, FISHING. As a 22-year Iraq War veteran and Army retiree, it felt really good giving my business to a fellow veteran that checked all the boxes. Good stuff and highly recommended!

This was best fishing charter we every had. My family really enjoyed themselves. We caught sooooo much fish!!! I would recommend Travis to anyone!!!

Had a great time fishing with family and friends with Captain Travis! He’s from the area and knows his way around the lake. We had a little rain come in and he gladly offered to take us out another time but we took on the rain for a quick little downpour and I’m glad we did. He got us to some hot spots where we all caught keepers. I caught the biggest fish I’ve ever caught and actually had a GIANT get away on my personal reel. It hit my bait and realized I was on the other end cranking and instantly bolted away. It took every bit of my line with him in about 2 seconds! I’m sticking with their nice rod and reels next time. Captain Travis filleted all of our fish in no time and we are super stoked to cook it up ASAP! Will be back sooon! Thanks again for the memorable fishing trip!!
