SF Wine & Cheese is hands down the best wine shop + intimate tasting room in the city. On one hand, I can't believe there aren't lines down the block but on the other, I'm so thankful. Shirley is one of the nicest people in the world—seriously—and she puts so much work into making this place special with specific, tailored offerings of everything from wine to cheese (obv) to teas, cookies, etc. There is a WALK IN CHEESE ROOM. The back covered patio is so beautiful and cozy, plus they do private events. My friend had her wedding reception here! UGH. I can't say enough.

Shirley was amazing! We did the wine tasting and let her pick our wines. She did not disappoint! I could have taken a bottle of each of her selections home. The meat and cheese board was really fresh and flavorful. We were able to go look around and pick our own meats and cheeses. She gives a generous amount and plated it beautifully! The back patio seemed like a wine speakeasy. It was beautiful and full of plants! I will definitely be coming back to San Francisco just to return here. Our experience at this place was the highlight of our trip!

The sandwich, cheese platter, and wine selection here is exceptional. Shirley’s extensive knowledge and kind demeanor made me feel immediately welcomed. My only regret is not having discovered SF Wine and Cheese sooner. I’ll be sure to I’ll visit more often now and support this local establishment.

We came here for a tasting and a charcuterie and it did not disappoint! We also tried the sandwich, absolutely delicious. The owner, Shirley, has been in the industry for 27 years and told us a small history about the place! She really gives each table a unique and special experience. She shared so much about different wines and cheeses. I will be back very soon and for sure be recommending everyone to come here. You must visit if you love wine, cheese, and great vibes. Thank you for such a great evening! 10/10 experience

San Francisco Wine and Cheese is an absolute gem! My husband and I stumbled upon this delightful spot during our weekend getaway, and it quickly became the highlight of our trip. The selection of wines and cheeses is impressive, and the owner was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations. We were able to curate the perfect picnic for Alamo Square, complete with delicious pairings that made our afternoon truly special. The atmosphere is charming and inviting, making it a fantastic place to explore and discover new flavors. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by San Francisco Wine and Cheese. It’s the perfect pit stop for anyone looking to elevate their picnic experience! We can’t wait to come back!
