I brought my bike to San Jose Bicycles because the back wheel was wobbling. They examined it in front of me, said it could be fixed for $25, and charged me in advance. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but that turned out to be a mistake. They told me I’d get a text in 1-2 days when it was ready. Two days passed, no message, and when I called, no one answered and their voicemail wasn’t set up. I stopped by the shop before closing time and was told my bike wasn’t ready yet. Then suddenly, they offered to do it in 20 minutes if I waited. After waiting, I was told the wheel was only 85% fixed because I “actually needed a new tire.” This was confusing since they had already inspected my bike before charging me. The employee explained that they couldn’t have known until they started working on it, even though they had already pulled on the spokes during inspection. Instead of communicating the problem and giving me options before charging me, they insisted the $25 could just go toward a new tire. When I pointed out that I should’ve been told about issues before being charged, the response was dismissive almost like I was the one creating a problem. In the end, I left without my bike fully fixed, frustrated by the lack of communication and the feeling they were more interested in collecting money than being upfront. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this shop if you value transparency and good customer service.
Great service my guys there Brian and Alan helped me out and got my bike back to running and moving definitely gonna go back and upgrade and get more parts for my bike forsure
My mom ebike got a flat tire. Came here for a replacement. There was a nail in the inner tube. The service was quick ( 10 mins) and price is very reasonably.
A week ago, I bought a $268 bicycle, and the pedal broke after riding it a few times. I thought the store owner could help repair it for free (I didn't want a refund). Unexpectedly, the owner said that I damaged it on purpose and needed a $60 repair fee. In the end, I didn't agree because the owner was very unfriendly. And I found a very similar model online for only $199. I was really ripped off.
Excellent customer service! The owner is super friendly as well as the remaining of his staff. They’re super knowledgeable! It helped my husband and I when we shopped for our bikes about 3 weeks ago. We had 0 knowledge about bikes but they were so helpful and made it super easy to pick a bike. We are here again for my sons bike and again EXCELLENT customer service. Will definitely be coming back.
