Kevin is the worst attorney in the business. My mom fell and fractured her hip at a clinic because the nurse practitioner took the walker away from her. My mom eventually passed away after 2 and a half months after she fell. She was 92 years old and had to go through hip surgery, and it was too much for her age. What made me mad is that our attorney Kevin Cowen believed the other side of the story and said the nurse practitioner never took the walker away from my mother. How did my mom fell? The nurse practitioner took her walker away and that why she fell.
I had a pretty serious rear-end accident a year ago and got injured my back pretty bad. I got into a fender bender back in 2022 (rear-ended by another vehicle, which was clearly not my fault). The rather predatory insurance company from the other liable party offered to give me an insultingly meager $50 in "inconvenience fees" immediately following the accident. This was when I knew I needed legal representation to negotiate a significantly higher and more reasonable settlement. The total vehicle damage to my sedan amounted to about $5,500 and the medical bills were closer to about $4,000 in chiropractic and physical therapy bills. What I deeply appreciated about San Jose Personal Injury Attorneys was how they didn't discriminate based on the "size" of the case, or on how much settlement money I would earn them. I had several other attorneys (from different offices in the Bay Area) tell me without hesitation that they couldn't help me, simply based on the size of the case and minimal dollar amount. (I guess I needed to be permanently disabled and debilitated with multi-million dollars on the table in order to be worth their time?). Attorney Kevin Cowan was assigned to my case, and he assured me that he accepted cases of all sizes and that the very principle of administering justice was worth the time. The legal assistants-Evelyn, Melissa and Juan-- were also very kind, professional and helpful with the process when I just simply needed a quick monthly update on the case. They answered all my questions promptly via text or phone call. Overall, it was reassuring to know that all these responsibilities were delegated to the right hands; I could simply focus on my job and getting better from the accident. (It also gave me peace of mind knowing I didn't have to answer all the harassing phone calls from the other party's insurance company). The case in its duration took about 1.5 years to settle, but the patience was worth all the while. We were able to walk away with a reasonable settlement in proportion to the damage done to my car and to my body. Kevin is a very warm-hearted person. In 2018, he helped my daughter's case. There's no one willing to take our case and help us because it's no profit at that time. No one is willing to help me but him! He listened to my story patiently on the phone, met me in the office, and spent time with my case. He was very sympathetic to my suffering and understood my feeling. He helped me not for money but as a friend. You couldn't have asked for a better lawyer like him!
