You must have Mexican car insurance to drive your American registered car in Mexico. I belong to the Mexican Relocation Guide (an online guide for those wanting to move to Mexico) and greatly believe in anyone they refer. Sanborn's is a recommended car insurer in their guide. That and a bit of online research has given me faith in buying a 1 year plan from them for an ongoing trip in Mexico. I wanted to verify my policy, which I bought completely online, and the agent, Max, responded quickly and politely which helped give me confidence that they will be around if I ever need them! I'm glad to be using Sanborns for my car insurance needs!
