Sanctuary Salon - and especially Cassie - are pretty much the only reason I'll drive to downtown SF since moving out of the city! I've struggled to find a stylist who can effectively cut my curly hair and Cassie has managed to give me a great cut regardless of the state of my curls (pregnant, postpartum, nursing, post-keratin treatment or any other state I might bring my curls in). The vibes of the salon are flawless and if you want a dash of romantasy fan theory comparisons with your cut, there's literally nobody else you should see! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would - highly, HIGHLY recommend Sanctuary Salon and Cassie!

Worth the trek every single time! I live further out and have tried salons closer to home, but I will now always come back to see Cassie. She is one of the only people I truly trust with my hair. She really listens to what I want and offers incredible advice, ensuring the cut looks amazing the day of and grows out beautifully over time. The salon is run with a lot of heart. It’s rare to find a space with such transparent pricing and a well taken care of staff. The space is also absolutely lovely—very peaceful, inviting, and full of natural light. Thank you Cassie, you're amazing!

I have never really found my go to salon to get my hair done just because I never felt entirely comfortable and love my hair afterwards. But Sanctuary Salon has me coming back every time because I love how friendly everyone is and how amazing Marella is! I love how safe and comfortable I feel when I step into the space. I always leave feeling absolutely beautiful and confident which makes the long trek across town to get my hair done so worth it.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Cassie for years, and I don’t trust anyone else with my hair. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to truly understand her clients and their needs, always thinking about lifestyle and long-term hair health, not just how things look when you leave the chair. One moment that really stood out was when she was flexible enough to fit me in for a last-minute consult before my wedding, even though I hadn’t specified that was the reason for the booking. That level of care and thoughtfulness is rare. Sanctuary Salon reflects Cassie’s values in each detail and stylist. I genuinely appreciate the no-tip model, which removes guesswork and makes the whole experience feel transparent. I can’t recommend Cassie and Sanctuary Salon enough!

I scheduled a consultation with Liz to talk about my hair goals, and I was immediately impressed by how attentive and thoughtful she was. She asked insightful questions that helped me clarify what I wanted, and her guidance gave me full confidence in her expertise. When it came time for my actual appointment, Liz reviewed everything we had discussed and got straight to work. I had a haircut, toner, and color done—and the results were incredible. By the end of the session, I felt completely transformed! Thank you so much for your hard work Liz! You’re an absolute gem and deserve to be recognized!!
