If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute disaster from start to finish. I tried booking an appointment online — their website glitched, I never got a confirmation, and even the discount code they emailed didn’t work. Red flag number one. On the day of the appointment, I called multiple times for over an hour, sat on hold, got sent to voicemail every single time, and never received a call back. How a “spa” can’t answer their phone during business hours is beyond me. Then, 20 minutes AFTER the appointment time, (after I already booked somewhere else) they suddenly decide to call and leave a voicemail saying, “Call us back so we can reschedule you.” When I called back (again and again), they ignored me — and then had the nerve to charge me a no-show fee (in addition to the couple’s massage they charged me for) for an appointment they never even confirmed. I was even nice enough to email them asking to reschedule me and they said I would have a book a NEW massage, and that they couldn’t refund me for the no show fee! Leaving me no choice but to have to dispute the transaction through my credit card company. The audacity would be impressive if it wasn’t so pathetic. And after reading the reviews from other customers — AND former employees — everything makes sense. The “software malfunctions,” the refusal to honor gift certificates, the lack of communication, the high turnover, the unprofessional management… it’s all a pattern. This isn’t a spa, not a business, it’s a SCAM. It’s a poorly run, outdated, unresponsive business that hides behind policy to squeeze money out of people instead of providing actual service. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else. There are plenty of spas in Portland that know how to run a business and treat customers like humans. This place is NOT one of them.
My wife had an extremely disturbing experience at this spa and feels obligated to warn others. The services provided were materially different from what was advertised on the spa’s website. What was presented as a luxury experience turned out to be altered and shortened treatments, without clear explanation beforehand. Most concerning were the hygiene and sanitation conditions. Basic cleanliness standards were not followed, which made the experience feel unsafe. The salt scrub treatment was particularly alarming. It appeared to consist of oil being poured from an unclean-looking bottle, followed by fine salt sprinkled directly from a package onto my body. This did not resemble a professional exfoliation treatment and raised serious concerns about hygiene and proper service standards. During one of the treatments, a staff member interacted with me while wearing street clothes and did not appear to follow basic hygiene protocols. The use of fingernails directly on my bare back, with no visible hand sanitation and whispering throughout the procedure, was extremely uncomfortable and alarming. When she raised these concerns afterward and requested a refund, the business refused to take responsibility and offer a just a 20% discount for any next procedure. What are you talking about, I would not take any service here even for free! I strongly advise potential clients to be cautious, as the lack of proper sanitation could potentially expose clients to bacterial or fungal infections as an unfortunate “bonus” to the service.
I normally don’t leave reviews, but the issues at this establishment need to be addressed. The workers themselves are doing the best they can—many of them are genuinely helpful and deserve recognition. Unfortunately, the environment they’re working in is another story entirely. The sanitation concerns alone are unacceptable. Basic cleanliness doesn’t seem to be a priority here, and it’s extremely disappointing to walk into a place where hygiene should be standard and instead feel like it’s being ignored. What makes the experience even worse is the attitude coming from management, specifically Sarah. Instead of showing concern, taking feedback seriously, or even attempting to understand customer issues, the reaction is dismissive and unprofessional. When a manager sets that tone, the entire establishment suffers. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t a one-time issue—there’s a pattern of complaints being brushed off and customers feeling unheard. There seems to be no compassion, no accountability, and no urgency to fix problems that directly impact customer safety and comfort. It’s honestly a shame, because the frontline workers are doing the best they can under leadership that doesn’t appear to care. Unless management—especially Sarah—takes real steps to improve sanitation and customer communication, this place will continue to decline. At this point, I can’t recommend it.
We did the couple’s crescendo package.. I had Igor and my husband had Elvira! I was a little nervous when I booked bc of some below average reviews, but the business had the services I wanted packaged together nicely and the location was fabulous as it was a short walk from the hotel. Ihor had the perfect pressure (I like a lot for super tense muscles) and he checked in with me to ensure the pressure was enough or not too much. I am often left disappointed by massages when I’m on vacation and was pleasantly surprised to have one of the best massages ever! He was kind and professional. My husband said Elvira was very good as well. He is a man of few words but stated it was the perfect ending to our vacation!
So how to start with this place. Let's just say it very quickly turned into what's going to become an annual event. Spent 5 hours being pampered was supposed to start with the infrared sauna but I couldn't because there was traffic and we had to switch up the schedule of things. But I'm sure it would have been lovely. The rain shower was unbelievable a whole new experience of spa that I never even knew existed getting completely scrubbed down and exfoliated was amazing and having a warm shower right over you as you're getting scrubbed down is unbelievable. Not to mention we were pampered with champagne and chocolate and then an 80 minute massage that I'm put me in and out of sleep and left me feeling like butter. After that we went in for a body wrap My husband got the Coco chocolate wrap and I got the sea algae wrap. I was burritoed into a warm blanket that bakes the mask all over my body and soon after that went into a wonderful shower where there was shampoo and body wash provided and it washed off the entire mask. After that was a wonderful pedicure smell of coconut and pineapple and getting my polish changed. We ended by getting changed in the dressing room and completely dressed and ready to go to our wonderful dinner at Ruth Chris. Highly highly highly recommend the full 5 hour treatment.
