Really lovely gallery, Ian is really informative and cares so much about the artists on display

Really lovely, reasonably priced gallery with some fantastic artists. It’s hidden away along the canal and accessed via a little footbridge so it feels secretive and like you’re the only one that knows about it (which would be rubbish for them as I didn’t buy anything…yet). Worth a visit on a bumble around the canals of Castlefield!

The Saul Hay Gallery is a lovely place to just browse, but when a work captures your eye and your imagination and lingers, giving it a home seems the least you can do. Daniel Freaker’s Platform of Beyond, was for us one of those works and we now have the pleasure of its company on a daily basis. We are grateful, as ever, to the Saul Hay Gallery, for their critical eye, their expertise and for creating such a gem of a Gallery.

What a fantastic find in the Castlefield Basin - worth going if only to cross the Rochdale canal via the secret bridge - just follow the signs to get there. The exhibits are for sale and there should be something to suit all tastes.
