I've coming here for about 10 years. I may have dined once. Usually, it's to go order. Today, I decided to treat myself. It's usually a treat because it's expensive but I keep coming because the one time I went somewhere else it was as good. I notice the portions are smaller now as well. The spiciness isn't consistent but again I still enjoy it. Today was different. I decided to come here because my mom has been in the hospital and I need to treat myself. I placed my order and made my way downtown. I was going to eat in the hospital with my mom. Luckily, another family told me to take a break and to enjoy my lunch. I asked the cashier who gave me my to go order if I could sit inside for a moment to eat my food. The place wasn't packed but she told me I could sit OUTSIDE. I is in the middle of winter and it's raining. That was bad customer service. I hope to find another Thai place with better service because I doubt if I will go back.
The food made my day happy. Specially the pad thai curry and panang curry. It was so delicious. We ordered 7 dishes and It was served to us in 15 minutes with all fresh and well cooked food. I would definitely come here again. Don't have your double thoughts on this restaurant.
Friendly service, good food. Nice place to hang out with a big sized group. To be honest, the food is just ok, with everything being on the too-sweet side. Flavors weren’t popping as far as Thai places go. Red curry Asked for mild and they said “it’s Thai” lol. But it was mild with a nice kick. Laab pork Warm pork. Came with cabbage slices, but more like strips and wedges, and too small to make wraps out of. Flavors weren’t popping, per se, but it was pretty good. Drunk noodles spicy it’s ok. Much rather go with the curry or laab. Pork belly It’s also ok. But much rather go with the curry or laab.
Found this place for dinner after leaving a brewery nearby. The food is excellent. There was space and service was quick. The curries were incredible. The green curry and eggplant dish didn’t have too much coconut in the curry. The eggplant and tofu was amazing. We got medium which was perfectly flavorful (credentials: South Asian). We got the chicken Pad Thai and neither the chicken nor the noodles were dry and it came with fried tofu that was amazing. It was clean, spacious, and worth it.
We arrived right when the restaurant opened. Seated and serviced really quickly. It's a popular place and filled up quickly. Probably because graduation cermonies just concluded as well. We got a lot of food. Pros: large portions, quick service. Delta: flavor just didn't hit. I don't know what was missing, but something was missing. Larb- I've never had such a watery larb before. *everything was a little too watery imo. Red curry - we liked the eggplants. I don't see it too often in curries, but it was really good. Pineapple fried rice - my dad ordered this item, and I didn't get to read through the ingredients, but there were no pineapples! We had a lengthy discussion about whether it's was called pineapple fried rice because of the color (bright yellow) or the presence of pineapples. 😅 definitely remember to ask for your pineapple, though. Red snapper- snapper was really tender and soft. Easy to eat, a bit spicy for us for late morning/afternoon. Loved the eggplants here also. Thai pork belly - this one is always a favorite in any thai restaurant, but this pork belly cut was a bit thick and hard to chew. It was mostly soft. The dish was watery, and interestingly, they added mostly regular broccoli and carrots instead of mostly Chinese broccoli. Thai steak- meat was tender. It doesn't present as appealing tbh, but it was probably one of the top dishes. The pepper sauce was really yummy, too.
