For anyone interested, I wanted to share the $149 Deluxe Delivery experience I had, as it is one of the worst experiences I have paid for in many many years if ever. One of the first things to happen, is my $1300 furniture being literally dropped while outside on pavement. A mistake, sure, those happen, but the guys continued to lose control of this and drop some of it on their way from the truck to my apartment. As they get to my apartment, they decide they want to open the furniture dropped, to make sure nothing happened to it. In doing so, they knock over and break some of my home decor. It might not hold a tremendous economic value, but it is a gift from my family in overseas, and therefore has a big sentimental value. After this, they tell me that the remaining items do not require any assembly, and therefore packs up and leaves. However, one of the items was a lamp, that, indeed required assembly. This I then had to do myself. Lastly, as the icing on top of the cake, when they exited my front door, they made a comment about my girlfriend, jokingly saying “I thought she was going to kill us!”. A comment which my girlfriend overheard through the door, and a comment which left her in tears for the next 20 minutes. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own home as I did during all of this. So to sum it up, I paid $149 for “Deluxe delivery”, to have my new furniture dropped, my home decor from my family destroyed, my new furniture NOT assembled, despite paying for it, and have my girlfriend in tears. Bravo Scandinavian Designs, what an experience. I then reached out to their customer service, to hear what they had to say about it. Two months later, not even a single response.

Update: 1/12/26 The furniture exchange and new purchase did not end up getting to us due to truck trouble for the second time. After waiting 6 weeks for our furniture, and after having to pay a $300 restocking fee for an item that has a big gap in the seam. Mike was very nonchalant about the situation. And stated, he wouldn't be able to get us the furniture until Jan 29th another 2.5 weeks! Seriously, they should be trying to get us that furniture this week, as far as i'm concerned. We decided to return the purchase that we bought and continue with the exchange due to the fact that we received damaged items. I've bought a lot of furniture in my life and never had an experience like this! HORRIBLE! Make sure you love your furniture before you purchase! We love the style of scandinavian design furniture. I usually don't post reviews. Here is our experience. We purchased the Holfred dining set and side board for our dining room. After 6 mo the tables showed signs of warping in the wood. We also had weird spots start showing up on the top of the sideboard (it was always covered with a piece of custom glass). Mike the store manager let me exchange it for a different piece (we did have the extended warranty). Then, we went back and bought another table for our kitchen.We purchased the Oliver. Once it was delivered, it just didn't look right in our kitchen. And when we fully extended it with the leaf, there was large gap in the middle and it was very noticeable.We went into this store within two days and stated we would like to exchange it for something else. Sam was obliged to do so, although we were told we had to pay a 20% stocking fee. We did end up exchanging for a different table at scandinavian design, but we did end up having to pay a $300 restocking fee! Seems excessive especially if you're exchanging because of a product your not satisfied with. So my advice is to make sure you ask them to open it if there's a leaf and really, really pay attention to the quality before you bring it home.

I have many of their furniture and it has been really good to us for the last 7 years or so. Today we went to look for something new for the dining area. They have a really lovely selection, the thing is most of the stuff is the same that I bought 7 years ago. Still and excellent store and beautiful furniture, not much change is such a period of time is disappointing that's all.
