If you are a woman, I would NOT recommend Derek Austin. Don't even consult let alone hire. During consultation he would not give me information on acquiring ex's financials. He told me he can't do anything to get financial info from ex as it's been over 7 years. Only if ex shares then something is possible. We can get wage info from the company he worked at, forensic accountants are available.even If it's costly, it's worth it. Indian women should think about processing right away after separation as it can cost a bit to get dated info from ex. And consider domestic violence which is common with Indians. He told me my case was a simple divorce. He didn't bother to include domestic violence which is to be considered during alimony decisions. Based on other reviews, you can see that he's not a good attorney. Some Indian man referred him to me..perhaps he was helpful to him. Or he's not a good friend I thought he was. Anyways, I don't recommend Derek Austin.

From the start, I felt I was in good hands. Anthony, who handled my initial intake, was empathetic and highly competent, motivating me to proceed with a paid consultation. Christian, who stepped in for Derek during that consultation, reassured me with his confidence in my case and gave me some candid advice, solidifying my decision to choose them, which I’m still very grateful for. People often approach lawyers with apprehension (e.g., when it comes to billing), but I can confidently say that Kyle and the team were worth every penny. I’m deeply thankful to them for helping me regain peace of mind and the ability to be an active Father. To any Mom or Dad facing a tough separation, I wholeheartedly recommend Schank & Associates.

I highly recommend the Law Offices of Christian Schank and Associates! The best and very professional. I hired my divorce attorney to represent me and from the moment I stepped in his office I was very comfortable and knew I was in good hands. He gave me different options for my divorce and took the time to explain everything to me. Such a great experience!
