School of Rock Scottsdale is a premier music school offering performance-based education for kids, teens, and adults. We combine private lessons with group band rehearsals to teach guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals in a fun, supportive environment. Our experienced instructors focus on building musical skills, confidence, and teamwork through real rock performances. Located at 13610 N Scottsdale Rd, we create a vibrant community where students grow as musicians and individuals, with programs designed for all skill levels.
School of Rock Scottsdale has been an incredible experience for my child, far exceeding anything I expected from a music program. From the moment we walked in, the energy, structure, and genuine passion of the staff were obvious. The environment is welcoming, creative, and truly designed to help kids grow not only as musicians, but as confident, expressive individuals. Every instructor we have worked with brings a high level of talent and patience. They meet kids exactly where they are, keep them challenged without ever overwhelming them, and make learning fun in a way that keeps my child excited for every session. The blend of private lessons and performance based learning has been a game changer. You can actually see the progress week after week. What stands out most is how much the team cares. They encourage, they coach, they celebrate wins, and they create an atmosphere where kids feel safe to try, make mistakes, experiment, and shine. My child has grown musically, socially, and in overall confidence since joining. The performances and show programs are outstanding. They are organized, professional, and truly empowering for the kids. Watching them play on stage with a full band setup is something special. School of Rock Scottsdale has become one of the highlights of our week. If you are looking for a place that teaches music in a meaningful, inspiring, and confidence building way, this is it. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
Absolutely love SOR! My daughter is 8, killing it at piano, and also with a band. Wonderful people inside this place. Can't say enough nice things! 🫶🏻
My son has so much fun at every lesson and band practice session, listening to him work on new songs and jam out at home I can hear him improving every week. I am so grateful for school of rock and all the teachers and team! They ROCK!! With addiction to cell phones, knowing your kid is playing guitar and drums for hours instead of glued to their phones- it’s amazing!
Great community! Wonderful music instruction, commitment to making students feel included and prepared to perform. Life changing for my own child, she’s found her village here. Worth every penny.
This is my 2nd School of Rock location (Illinois & Arizona) and as a parent of kids in the program and in the adult program myself AND as a musician of 4 instruments since I was a child, I can say with conviction that there isn't a better place to learn to jam and learn to jam quickly. If you've ever wanted to play an instrument or want your kids to jump in head first, there isn't a better place to be!
