l went to a seminar that was catered by Scratch Catering. I was able to have the opportunity to try two of the several sandwiches that were available at the event, and I have to say they both were the best tasting sandwiches I have had in a long time. Highly recommend this business for your next event.

Catered meal for Thanksgiving. Turkey has a weird taste probably from being in the tray. Stuffing and mac were mush. At least the mac tasted good, but they rationed it. It was the small amount, a bit or two. I ended up eating a roll, 2 bites of mac, one the dessert. It was pretty pitiful.

Communication was very poor and ended up being canceled on less than 2 weeks before my event. Would NOT recommend. Background: I filled out the online request through the website on July 4, 2025 for a bridal shower lunch that was planned for August 2, 2025. Ted Bilsky, the owner, responded the same day (7/4) at 10:33am with a quote of typical bridal shower options. I replied to the quote on July 4, 2025 at 4:27pm, asking to remove some items and change to pick up versus catering. Ted never responded to my email request. I followed up with Ted on 7/15/25 to see if my updates were received and if there were any questions. Again, no response from Ted. I then emailed a third time on 7/19/25 since it was getting closer to the bridal shower party. Ted finally emailed back on 7/21/25 saying the delay was due to taking time off and that he could not do the catering due to the small amount of items requested and not meeting the minimum amount. While I completely understand the business aspect of minimum requirements, what is completely unprofessional is not responding to emails for almost 2.5 weeks and not having an out of office automatic email response to keep his customers aware of his absence. I believe Ted could have handled this situation better. Since the event was less than two weeks away and Ted’s response was canceling my order completely, this left the customer with no vendor on short notice. Hopefully this saves others from what was truly a terrible experience!

Scratch Kitchen was super easy to work with and were quick to respond to my emails. The food (fajita buffet) and service the day of the event were outstanding! The presentation was beautiful! All of my guests raved about it! I’ll definitely be back! I had a backyard party with about 30 guests.

I made a last-minute catering request to Scratch Catering to cater my daughter's brunch birthday party. First of all, Scratch is one of the few caterers that I found with a comprehensive brunch menu! Other caterers that I found only offer cold breakfast foods (similar to a continental breakfast). Ted put together a proposal for me and was able to accommodate the date I needed even with short notice. The chef came by and set everything up and came back the next weekday to pick everything up. It made everything so easy! Our guests RAVED about the food... everything was incredible. If I ever need catering services again, I'll definitely be using Scratch.
