Seams turned an online gown into a wedding day ballgown! I took a gamble and purchased a silk, colorful gown online, knowing the image was AI-generated. The dress arrived and was of pretty decent quality, but clearly not sewn correctly. I found multiple Reddit reviews that recommended this business's “miracle work,” and I can confirm that she is for sure a miracle worker! I’m terrible with names, but the shop owner, maybe Colleen, saw my vision and helped make it a reality. She provided excellent advice on garments I would need with my dress and made great recommendations to make the “website version” come to life. I have a colorful satin wedding gown that gives me so much confidence. I will definitely be back. She is a busy lady, so I recommend giving your wedding gown a level of alterations 12+ weeks from your needed date. I went in June and picked up my dress in late September for my October wedding.
Colleen is a true ARTIST when it comes to tailoring wedding dresses. I absolutely loved working with her and the entire Seams team to make sure my dress was perfect. She was very honest, communicative, and patient as we met multiple times to ensure my dress fit. My dress was ready a month before my wedding date and there was never a concern I wouldn’t get it in time. Oh the wedding day, guests commented on how my dress looked as if it was “made just for me” and gave high praise to Colleen’s work. I honestly will miss my fittings with Colleen since I enjoyed working with her so much. Also it didn’t hurt that her pricing was extremely fair and reasonable. You won’t regret going to Seams!!!
Colleen and the Seams team were so wonderful to work with. If you’re anything like me, you were looking for professional and affordable alterations for your wedding dress. I went a little over my original budget for my wedding gown (and got the dress of my dreams) but really wanted to stay within budget for alterations. Colleen quoted me almost $300 less than other tailors, and with that price difference she did not sacrifice anything in quality or workmanship. If you read some older reviews regarding disorganization or last minute work- I think either she has taken those reviews to heart or they were fringe experiences because my whole experience was professional, timely, and she altered my dress to fit perfectly! You can tell she is an artist with immense experience, your gown/clothing item is in great hands. Thank you so much, Colleen!
The designer of my dress recommended I go to Seams, and I am so happy I did! Colleen did a great job listening to what I wanted done, and the dress turned out perfectly! Colleen also made my veil to match my dress length and color, and it was PERFECT! The bustle was super easy for us to do on the wedding day. Would recommend!
