I went in with my Cannon A1 that had a shutter issue. I was asked to wait while a gentleman in the back took a look. He came out 5 minutes later with it working just like new. Just as gracefully as he appeared, he disappeared away. It was like a dream. The camera that my father passed down to me was resurrected with such ease that I began to question my own sensibilities. If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. Awesome shop. Awesome staff. Amazing to see the craft continue. Thank you Seawood! Truly an amazing experience.

Seawood is a place of dreams for photogs! I had heard here and there about how amazing it is but was not prepared for how blown away I was going to be. I found several things I’d been looking for, for ages, at super reasonable prices, the staff was so helpful! I scored and got outta there for at least $200 less then if I had shopped online. I can’t wait to make a trip up again! Thanks so much all at Seawood! See you soon!

I came here after another photo lab said they couldn't help me. It was my last day in California and I just finished taking photos of the Golden Gate Bridge when the film snapped from the canister while it was rewinding and my own attempts of grabbing the film myself with scissors, tweezers and bobby pins. I most definitely lost all of my photos from seeing some landmarks, but at least the staff was straightforward, helpful and honest with the best attitude for this conundrum. One of them even bought me film so I could go back out to shoot on my Canon Autoboy Jet, which is seriously one of the sweetest things thats happened to me on this trip. I may have ended the trip on a very sour note, but I will never forget this shop for helping me on such short notice. This shop is the beat. Thank you guys so, so much 💛

Need a Canadian passport photo? They make it EASY BREEZY. they know the requirements by heart and instruct you. No management needed by me. Which is great cause I am reading the print out from the website. I’m no expert! I’ve been trying to get this photo done right for about 2 years with no luck. Well 2 seconds into being in this store, it was all sorted and done. I’m so relieved!!! I’m def going to be recommending this place for Canadian passports. Plus we took a little tour of the museum-esque shop and got some fun knowledge about WEIRD camera stuff I’ve never even heard of before. Crazy submarine cameras and intense hunting cameras. Along with antique cameras and newer gear. I’m not a camera person. But it was fascinating to tour some of their cool collection. This shop is a must if you are interested in camera history at all.
