Honestly this is one of my favorite places in Memphis. I go through at least once a week. The place is organized and books come and go frequently. I've never paid more than a few bucks for a book (many haven't even been opened before). I've also gotten a couple signed copies for a few bucks. Magazines, coffee table books, educational material, cds, music books, etc. All types of media available. You can donate stuff to them easily as well! I tell everyone I know about this spot.

Wonderful place to stop in and look for used books. Generally good selection that is rotated often, so there is always something to find. Prices can sometimes be a bit on the high end for such books ($4-5) but many are much less.

This place has an amazing selection of all sorts of books that are all in perfectly readable condition. They are extremely cheap ($1-4 each on average) which makes reading available to just about everyone. Their selection is constantly changing too so you never know what you might find!

Second Editions is a phenomenal second-hand bookstore located within the Benjamin L. Hooks Library on Poplar Avenue. Aside from having a decent variety of classics in fiction and non-fiction, the prices are very low and the selection changes daily! It's also a great place to pick-up audio books, CDs and sundry other related items at steep discounts from virtually every other outlet in the city. If you're looking to shop at a quality, well-curated store for second-hand books or CDs, this should be your first stop.
