This place is off the beaten path, and aren't the best places these days in this category? We wanted to find a vineyard that wasn't going to have throngs of people, a nice environment, and relax a little with our kids in tow. This place was exactly what we needed. The scenery, just gorgeous. The barn and blue sky served a beautiful backdrop to the vines and forest surrounding us. The tasting room was adorable and cool for those wanting to escape the summer heat. We chose to sit under the shaded patio, surrounded by flowers and tasteful touches with their decor. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. Our kids weren't minded at all, except for by us of course, and they enjoyed walking about as we enjoyed our flights of wine. It reminded me of when we lived in Germany and visited the wineries out there. It was just delightful. Lauren was our wine captain. She walked us through our choices and then we talked about them as we sampled through them. We loved chatting with her. She seems like such an incredibly sweet person and made our trip out there even that much better. We enjoyed all of the wines but can you believe we forgot to grab a bottle when we left. Oh well, it just gices another reason to go back out there! That area is also incredibly pretty. Lots of hiking opportunities nearby so there's a lot to do out there which is always a plus in our book.

I couldn't recommend this place more! My friend and I were looking for a great new place for our Sunday adventure and tried our luck here because of the name, Serpent Ridge. We met for a casual wine tasting with cheese & crackers, and oh, my gosh, we were NOT disappointed! Every wine we tried was delightful and every person we met was even more so! We will most definitely be back soon to try the next small batch and bring home more of our favorites. Thank you!

My wife and I are visiting Westminster MD for the weekend. We visited Serpent Ridge Vineyard to experience their wine tasting. My wife chose bitter/dry wines. I chose sweet wines; we also enjoyed mini chocolate truffles. My wife’s favorite was the 2022 Malbec. My favorite was the Peach Bellini (frozen). The staff were very courteous and knowledgeable; we enjoyed the outside space and the weather was perfect.

Really nice vineyard. A smaller venue. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Or first time there and we were treated like family. You can bring your own snacks or make your own platter of locally made cheeses, summer sausages, olives and crackers. They have samplers, by the glass or bottles of wine. We've been to lots of wineries and this one is worth a visit.

Went here for the first time yesterday, and absolutely loved it. It's small and unassuming, which was perfect! I love that it's nestled in a sweet little wooded area. The grounds are so beautiful, it felt like a wood fairy garden. They let us walk around and I couldn't help but hold a small photo shoot with my friend. I didn't love all of the wines we sampled, but found a few I liked and bought some bottles. The staff were wonderful and I can't wait to visit again! Thank you for helping to make my birthday special!
