I can’t say I would recommend sew special unfortunately. It was so so so so expensive and I don’t feel like I got my moneys worth. I got my wedding dress altered here and it was $1100. The dress looked good in some photos (not all) mainly it wasn’t fitted around bust. The waist belt that was put in created a bit of a pooch around my tummy and i did not gain any weight. I am just truly disappointed as to how much money it was for me not to really love the end result. I felt like extra dollars were added just because it was a wedding dress. Not for me

I’ve been seeing Joanna and her wonderful team for years. She altered my wedding dress, and then countless other vintage dresses, swimsuits, shirts, pants. It’s always a high quality job and I’ve never been disappointed! 👌

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sew Special. I was first in touch with Omid, and then Joanna looked after me and all my wedding dress alterations. From the very first appointment, they were incredibly lovely, warm, and genuinely caring - treating me not just like a client, but like their own daughter. The level of personal care and investment they showed throughout the process was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Joanna is exceptional at what she does - a highly skilled, meticulous tailor who clearly takes immense pride in her craft. My wedding dress honestly went from a 7/10 to a 100/10. I was completely blown away by how much of a difference expert, high-quality tailoring makes. The fit, the structure, the finish - literally perfect. Throughout the process, I always felt listened to, supported, and completely confident that my dress was in the very best hands. Looking back on photos from my wedding day I'm almost brought to tears by how stunning it was - it fit like a glove and truly looked couture. Thank you for the extraordinary level of service! I will be forever grateful!!

Joanna made the experience of having my wedding dress altered so easy and enjoyeable. It was not an easy dress to alter but the dress ended up being absolutely perfect and I had so many compliments! Thank you so much Sew Special, I’m so glad I chose you!
