As a practitioner of Buddhism, I attend and support events at this center regularly. Nichiren Buddhism is such a powerful practice for growing as an individual, developing one’s humanity, building a state of inner happiness, achieving one’s goals, overcoming one’s challenges, and empowering oneself to contribute to the community! It’s refreshing to practice a socially engaged form of Buddhism that is also practically applied to daily life. Such an incredible and diverse community of genuinely good-hearted, positive people. Highly recommend to anyone interested in learning more about Buddhism!

The Chandler Buddhist center is a beautiful center where SGI members gather, and welcome new people that are curious about the practice. This center was built after the Phoenix SGI center, which is also beautiful, and where our bookstore is. This newer space is wonderful as it has many different rooms to chant, study, or even practice live music for a KRG (Kosen Rufu Gongyo) meeting! Overall, the building itself, and the Buddhist gatherings are 10/10! If you're curious about Buddhism, stop by and ask as many questions as you'd like!

At first I was definitely worried this was a cult. I went to a few meetings and got to know the people, the practice, and their beliefs. Needless to say this is the most welcoming and accepting center I have ever had the pleasure of attending. Even if you just want to learn about Buddhism I definitely recommend attending a meeting, everyone you’ll meet is extremely kind and willing to answer any and all questions you have. This center is also culturally diverse so you’ll meet people from all over the world.

Everyone is so warm and welcoming. Powerful mantra that truly makes a difference in your life. I love that no one is imposing a set of rules, as this is not a practice that centers around behavior modification. This is the real deal and the whole philosophy bases itself on the idea that a “great human revolution in just a single individual will help achieve a change in the destiny of a nation and further, will enable a change in the destiny of all humankind.” This is a philosophy that empowers the individual and makes us take responsibility for our own lives by getting to the root and combating our own fundamental darkness and bring forth our buddhahood through faith, practice, and study. 🌻❤️✨
