I had an amazing time taking the Salsa class with instructor Maddie! She created an atmosphere where I felt confident and comfortable and had fun! Would highly recommend.

I signed my daughter up for a free trial class in October 2025. We were told it was "standard procedure" to collect our credit card information and registration paperwork at the time of the trial, with assurances that we would not be charged if we did not move forward with enrollment after the trial. I emailed SDA two days after the trial to let them know we would not be enrolling our daughter, and found subsequently that our credit card was charged for several months as if she were an active student. SDA refunded about a third of the charges when we alerted them to this error, and then refused to refund the rest, forwarding us the paperwork from her trial class as "evidence" she was registered - though I have the email receipts stating we were not planning to enroll, and she never returned for another class. Please beware, this behavior was fraudulent and unethical.

My experience was magical as always! I had a great class with the Salsa/Bachata instructor Madeline❤️ She is very sweet with a wealth of knowledge about her craft❤️ I enjoy the way she teaches the history, emotional expression and the meaning of every Latin dance move. I also like the way my friend was treated by the office manager Marcia❤️ She was very sweet to her. I talked to Marcia for 30 minutes after my class. She was so nice I told her I love her🤣🤣🤣

Went to my first adult hip hop class that Shaker Dance Academy holds on Wednesdays at 7pm. I was honestly so nervous, the last time I learned any type of choreography was in high school 20 years ago 🤣 Pinque and Johan, our coaches were amazing. They made all in attendance feel comfortable, excited, and ready to get moving despite our different dance levels and it was such an amazing time. From someone scared to go inside to leaving thinking “I can’t wait for next week”, I highly encourage anyone considering to just GIVE IT A TRY!!!! Can’t wait to be back next week! Thanks for offering these classes to all ages! :) ♥️
