I've been a part of the Shambhala Meditation Center of Los Angeles community for 17 years. This place has become a second home. It's exciting to see a new location in Burbank after the closure of both the Eagle Rock and Mar Vista locations pre-pandemic. It will be nice to be able to meditate in group settings again! Thank you SMCLA!

Love the Shambhala center and the community! I showed up for group meditation randomly many years ago and I'm so glad I did. I've gotten so much over the years from learning to meditate and the classes they offer. Do yourself a favor and try it out!

The Shambhala Meditation Center has a wide variety of offerings; basic meditation classes, Buddhist dharma classes, affinity groups (i.e. young meditators, queer dharma, Twelve Step Heart of Recovery) as well as regular Sunday morning sitting sessions. Come and join us. Everyone is welcome!

This center offers an immensely positive, supportive place to learn and practice meditation. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable--most were trained directly by Tibetan meditation masters and have been practicing for over 20 years--and kind. Highly recommended!

I went to the meditation intro class last night, and it was exactly what I was looking for. The class starts at 7:30, and I arrived at 7:20. I have to say, I was quite nervous because I didn't know what to expect. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the night's host, who was sitting at a table of snacks with six other people. They all welcomed me, and most of them were first time visitors as well. At 7:30 we took our shoes off and went into the meditation room. The night's teacher spoke with use for a bit, lead us in a meditation, and then talked to us afterwards about our experiences. There were around 15 of us, and all there for various reasons. The class lasted until 9:00. If you're curious about meditation, or would just like a refresher, I'd highly recommend it.
