What an absolutely horrible experience. We came in for a first hair cut with the photo before and after. She took an image of my son where he was hardly paying attention and I said hold on and tried to get him to smile. She said “it’s fine” and just put the camera away. What are you looking for: I said I like that it’s long. I like it thick on the sides and back. I want it to keep the overall same shape just trimmed a bit to be cleaner. She started taking a lot off the sides and I said wow you’re really taking a lot off. She said I need to or it will have wings on the sides. I said we asked to keep it long but okay. Multiple other times I mentioned she was taking too much off. The top still had length at this point then she lifted it off and just hacked off multiple inches. My son was very upset and my husband asked her to stop for a minute so he could calm him down. She kept buzzing at my kids head with her trimmer despite being asked to stop. He left with a very visibly crooked essentially military style haircut. They didn’t make us pay but it will take months for my son’s hair to look remotely like his own again. The people in line behind us witnessed the experience and wisely chose to leave. The idea of this place is nice but I’d recommend going to people who actually know how to cut hair and follow directions.

My daughter and I had such a great experience at this place the other day! The staff was super friendly. I was really impressed by their patience, especially with my little one who was distracted a lot. Plus, I loved that they double-checked with me about the haircut to make sure we were both happy. Definitely recommend checking them out!

There’s nowhere else we’ll take our son for his haircuts! He usually has a very tough time but the stylists here are incredibly sweet, patient, and know exactly what they’re doing with kids who have sensory issues. Angela gave our son the perfect haircut and he was super calm from start to finish with her. The entire environment is designed to delight and distract the kids which worked wonders. We live a little further away but it’s absolutely worth the drive for us to go to Sharkey’s!

This is such a wonderful place for kids’ haircuts! Angela and Lindsay are fantastic, and the entire team is warm, patient, and welcoming every single time we come in. They go above and beyond to make sure every child has a positive experience—even the ones who aren’t too excited about sitting in the chair. I love that they always remember my kids’ names, and they even make sure my youngest (who doesn’t get haircuts yet) leaves with a balloon and a sucker. Those thoughtful touches make such a difference. We couldn’t ask for a better place to bring our kids! And it’s the reason we’ve been going there for 4 years now ❤️

Fun "spa" experience for my young daughter. Lindsey did a great job working with her and my daughter loved the special treatment. We'll definitely be back! 6/14 Second trip was just as fun as the first. My daughter and my wife did a mommy/daughter cut. Great experience!
