We strong armed Jonny into taking pictures of our dogs. He’d done work for us before a few years ago taking photos for a website. The photos were fab and so when it came time to capture the dogs there was only one person to ask. Both dogs are active breeds and they were excited to be in the studio. One threw herself through a backdrop trying to catch something and Jonny was a Saint. We’d gone all “we don’t want traditional posed photos we want something quirky” and then faced with a choice of over 100 photos we could have chosen enough to wall paper a room. We opted for the “traditional posed photos” mainly because they capture so much about each of the dogs personalities. When we first saw the images it was hard to get our head around how a human eye, heart and camera can see that detail. Jonny helped with everything, background colour, how to mount them and how to display them. Jonnys work is so special. We are now the proud owners of images that capture the dogs in their prime and that will live way beyond them in our lives, hearts and minds. Feels less like photography and more like a bit of magic. We are so delighted.
