The best days production in 2024. I’m a full time commercial photographer / DP, corporate and commercial clients across NJ. Short stay Studios was ideally located in downtown Newark. Access is a productions dream: parking available, an elevator, key code access. The owner operates a pickup truck, available for additional fees to help move from point a/b, (pending availability). The studio itself is ideal: it has a kitchenette and bathroom on site. Large windows with great natural light, blinds also available. Flexible space: over the course of a single production day we filmed 7+ doc style interviews, never the same shot twice. There are some seamless backdrops available on site, but with advance notice specific colors can be ordered. Lots of electrical outlets, all functional, I had no issues using multiple 600w lights + DIT station, battery recharging etc. Sound is great; course of 10 hour production there were 2 instances of siren / motorbike, that I had talent repeat lines. Minimal echo. Carpets / rugs available on site to dampen reverb as needed. I cannot recommend Short Stay Studios enough - I’m already looking to book 2 additional dates at this venue after a seamless production day with my client (a department of the municipal government who are based 3 streets away).

Short Stay Studios is such a unique place. I love that it gives a homey vibe and so spacious. I’ve attended both a jam session event and movie night event in the space and I love how versatile the location is. It’s definitely adaptable to any event you may need.

Short Stay Studios really have a dope vibe. I attended a rooftop party via invite from a new buddy and I dragged my husband along as we are 11 years apart. Even with our age difference we both left the event feeling like we had a ball. The crowd was friendly and full of layers of awesomeness (style and conversation). I live in central Jersey and will make the trip for events.

Such a dope space with high ceilings and amazing natural lighting. It’s warm and cozy, yet super spacious and the host is able to adapt the space to create the right ambience for the event being hosted. Always a fun time at Short Stay Studio, would highly recommend!

Short Stay Studios is such a dope space. Love the high dealings and large windows! Perfect for natural lighting and studio lighting for photo or video. The host is super helpful! Definitely looking forward to creating here again soon!
