The dough edges were “crispy like never before” on both pizzas — we had 18 Hawaiian and 14 Bacon Mushroom. Shorty’s has always been the only real NY-style pizza spot in Winnipeg, and we’ve been there hundreds of times, both for dine-in and takeout. That’s why this experience was especially disappointing. Something clearly went wrong this time. I just wanted to share this feedback because, in our experience, Shorty’s has usually been the best pizza in Winnipeg.

One of those rare places where the owner embodies the spirit of true hospitality. Not only does he make incredible pizza, but he's also incredibly thoughtful and generous. 🍕 Brunch at Shorty’s Pizza — and wow, what a feast! We had the Hawaiian: mozzarella, double-smoked bacon, pineapple, and peppers 🍍🥓🫑🧀 I was delighted to sip a Brio Chinotto 🇮🇹🥤, and for dessert… the BEST banana pudding ever! 🍌🍮 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — possibly one of the best pizza crusts I’ve ever had. this place is very inviting. the owner play live music every now then on the weekends, which adds to the ambiance. the food is always ready and of high quality. i tried a soda called Brio!, recommended by the staff, and it was a great refreshment. i’ll definitely be visiting more times soon

You can find a good experience with an OK pizza while enjoying a vintage journey to the 90s American cities. Load music, a dark environment, beer, and pizza; this can be a good combination you can experience if you are into it. The pizzas are Italian-style, tasty and have an oven-baked texture. The 18" pizza is a significant portion easily shareable for 2 to 3 people. Although they were good enough to make you happy with the pizza experience, they are not unique or exceptional. The burger was tasty, although it is a typical style of American burgers with small portions. In terms of the burgers' taste, you can find their superb style and ingredients, although they lack some salad and different sauces to make them comparable to great ones in the city. It should be mentioned that they are worth your money.
