Ran across this as a suggestion while traveling & booyyyyy am I glad I came!!! They offered me a free taste test of their fatty tuna and it changed me as a person. So yummy. Fantastic service. Hope to be back!

I used to live in FedHill, but now am in Alexandria. Whenever I come to Bmore (and I mean every time), I always make sure to grab a sushi burrito! Shoyou Sushi is my favorite sushi joint out of everywhere I've been. Strongly suggest the tuna salad as well! 12 out of 10 stars! Highly suggest!! See you on my next trip, Shoyou Sushi!

Great Japanese restaurant! Menu has a very large selection of rolls and Makis. They also have great apps and salads. The Brest one was the burrito, it sounds strange but it was absolutely delicious!

Food: The sushi here is so good. It's some of the best I've had since moving to Baltimore. My favorite (so far) is the R (Roll) Lewis. The unagi and soft shell crab are also wonderful. Service: The server was attentive, never letting our water run out. Our food came out quickly, and the extra roll we ordered before we left arrived fast and packaged well. Atmosphere: We didn't get to see the whole restaurant, as we sat near the entrance. The chair felt a bit uncomfortable. But other than that, the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting.

We were just passing through Baltimore and decided to stop for dinner here since it was not far from the highway we were on. The atmosphere was casual but classy and comfortable. The wait staff was great too. They were friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. The food was delicious and was pleasantly more generous portions wise than were were expecting for a sushi restaurant. They had some very unique specialty rolls that we have never seen before, along with the typical and basic sushi roll options. Overall it was a lovely meal and experience. Highly recommend!
