My son has been seeing Dr Shults since he was born 19 years ago. The last time he went for some tests he had new insurance which the insurance company’s site said Dr Shults was on their providers list. Their nurse practitioner is not so we found out later. He gave them the new insurance card and they ran their tests. A few weeks later we get a $900 bill in the mail. They had not checked to see if his insurance would cover the procedure. When we called we were told that they had not done this because he had not given them the new insurance card. That was a lie. They ran it through his new insurance before sending us the bill. How could they have done this if he had not given it to them? We asked to speak to Doctor Shults and was denied that request. They said the office manager would call and they also said usually they apply a 30% discount to these sort of cases. The office manager did not call but we did get a call from someone in billing who offered a 20% discount, not the 30% we had previously been told. We asked to speak with doctor Shults again. We were again told an office manager would call. Neither have called us since. We have called a further 3 times and asked to speak with doctor Shults or the office manager. Neither one have returned our call. For 19 years they have been great and now they are terrible. They made a mistake and have been avoiding their part of the responsibility and avoiding contacting us. Stay far away from this practice now they are run by Summit Medical.

I have truly never had a bad experience here ever. They deeply care about my children and listen to all of my concerns. They go above and beyond to make sure we have covered all topics in question at each and every visit. The entire staff is remarkable and kind. We are so thankful for the staff and providers at Shults.

My children have been patients since we had our first born in 2017. Now as a mother of three, I can say with utmost certainty that I trust and value the knowledge Dr. Shults, Dr. Bullen and their team give whenever we visit. I feel my concerns are heard and my questions answered, and our children always feel comfortable with every physician/NP/nurse they interact with. Felicia at the front desk is always bubbly and kind, and the office atmosphere is welcoming and cozy.

We have been going to Shults since my daughter was a newborn. It’s not the closest pediatrician’s office to us, but worth the drive for the care! They are always able to get her in to be seen when an unexpectedly health issue comes up. I also went in for a brief lactation specialist appointment and they were able to get me in asap for that too. Really appreciate the care they give. Someone below didn’t like the decor because it’s not colorful and “kid friendly” but my daughter personally loves the cute statues of bears and woodland animals!
