Before we found Tim, we were really struggling with our 8-month-old Aussie and felt lost. A neighbor recommended him, so we decided to book our first session. Tim is amazing—so knowledgeable, professional, and great with our dog. He really took the time to understand our issues and provided us with practical advice and helpful training tools. After eight sessions, we saw huge improvements in our dog’s behavior. Her impulse control improved greatly, and her behavior, both indoors and outdoors, has gotten so much better. Tim also taught us how to hike with her, and now hiking has become my favorite activity with her! Training a dog is a lifelong commitment, and Tim has made a huge difference for us. We’re grateful for all the help he’s provided!
Tim was truly amazing to work with! Our first puppy has been a big transition for us, and working through a training program with Tim made such a difference. He gave us so many tips and helped us feel confident to work with our little guy on our own to reinforce the habits that are specific to the lifestyle we are looking for with our pets. Tim is a great trainer who presents information in an easy to understand manner. He is approachable, nonjudgmental, and truly listens about the issues you’ve been having with your dog. He is flexible about where lessons take place and if there are tools you specifically want to use to train your dog. I have had my dog Clover for almost 4 years before I decided to get professional help to train her. We worked on her leash aggression, outdoor behavior, and recall together. We also had some conversations about crate training. Tim has a very well behaved dog Minnie who was able to act as a controlled distraction when we were training Clover not to react while on leash. I really appreciate this because it’s extremely helpful and not something all dog trainers can offer (thanks Minnie!). Now I have more confidence to take Clover to the park and on hikes, and my relationship with her has improved. Tim will recommend great tools like leashes, collars, and toys to help with dog training. He is very knowledgeable and I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Tim!!
My husband and I recently did a few months of private dog training sessions with Tim at Sidekicks Dog Training and I have so many good things to say! Tim was incredibly professional, COVID safety conscious, communicative, and really effective at teaching us how to train our pandemic puppy. We have a less than year old mini bull terrier who struggles with impulse control and channeling her excitement. Tim was encouraging and provided great tips and tricks to instill basic obedience training as well as essential possibly life saving commands. Since she does get a little wild, Tim was kind enough to let us borrow a more appropriate training collar until we decided whether we should purchase the item as well. We saw a great improvement with our wild puppy over the time spent training with Tim! He even brought his incredibly well-trained dog Minnie to enhance the experience! I can only hope our dogs are as well behaved as Minnie. Definitely make sure to set up regular practice times between sessions for best results. Thanks for everything, Tim! 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!
