I absolutely love having my kids here they learned so well with the coaches and my toddler became so confident in swimming again after a near drowning experience before he started taking swim classes. Now he's freely diving without floaties but cautious enough to know not to go on the water without an adult with. As he is still learning to swim but got floating down. They are absolutely wonderful.

My child did not change instructors, completed all scheduled classes, and was never dismissed early. He was swimming in the deep end, so it seems there may be a mix-up with another student. If this had truly been an ongoing issue, it should have been brought to my attention directly. This is the first I’m hearing of it. In the future, please communicate concerns with parents rather than allowing an “experienced instructor” to address a child dismissively. I’m very disappointed with our experience at Sigma Swim. One of the instructors spoke to my child in a negative and dismissive way, which left him feeling anxious, discouraged, and defeated — the opposite of what a supportive learning environment should foster. This interaction not only affected his confidence but also created unnecessary stress during his lesson in the deep end, which could have compromised his focus and safety in the water. A calm, encouraging tone is especially important in aquatic settings where emotional distress can quickly translate into physical risk. When I brought this concern to management, there was little accountability or acknowledgment of how inappropriate and unsafe the situation was. Instead, the response attempted to shift blame rather than address the instructor’s behavior professionally. As a parent, I expect an environment where children are treated with patience, respect, and an awareness of their emotional and physical safety. Unfortunately, this experience has made me lose trust in the program’s ability to provide that. I hope Sigma Swim takes this as an opportunity to reflect on how instructors interact with students and how management handles parental concerns moving forward.

My oldest child has been swimming with them for 4 years now and is consistently complimented for her swim skills (7yrs old). My youngest has been for a year and a half (4yrs old) and is safe to swim on her own in a pool without a vest. Relda is an exceptional Director and her team of coaches are top notch! They are patient, kind, and pay attention to the small things that help your child advance. My kids love their instructors and I wouldn't want them anywhere else!

My son has greatly enjoyed learning to swim. The instructors are so friendly. Relda is wonderful and always answered all my questions. I read the negative review about Sigma and just have to say they only cancel classes due to weather conditions putting the safety of the families first and make up days are offered so I dont understand why someone would be upset over that.

We have had such a great experience at Sigma! This is my daughter's second year and it amazes me how far she's come since she started. The staff is wonderful and my daughter has loved all her coaches! I would definitely recommend the TCC Northwest location. Relda, the coordinator there is awesome.
