I think overall this is a great place to go and make some amazing pieces if you have a basic understanding. If you are a beginner and don't know anything about ceramics it might be difficult. One thing to note is that to complete a piece it will take 2/3 classes and while you're there they encourage you to make more pieces thus, enrolling in more classes. The place is small but has a lot of space and supplies for the amount of people they enrolls. They do a good job of filling just the right amount of space. The hard part for me was the instructions are all given at once at the beginning and then you are off on your own to create your pieces. I am more hands on and needed assistance at the wheel. It was hard to get the instructor as he was with a different group working on sculptures. When he did some he tried to help me but I still was having difficulty. I think this type of teaching style just didn't work for me and I need a more interactive class and not information all the beginning and then being sent off on my own thing. If you know how to make things and are confident I would say this is a amazing place! But if you are a beginner and need more 1-1 help or someone to guide you, this might not be the place.
Love this place! I would go every day, if I could. Justin and MacKenzie are very kind and very helpful. Everyone is so nice. I learn something new during each visit.
This place is so fun! Justin and Mackenzie are so kind and very friendly. I wish I could go more but the calendar fills up fast.
Great workshop and the hosts are great at teaching you how to properly use the clay and build. I did the beginners workshop and had a great time.
I love that I found Sincere Ceramics! You sign up for classes one at a time--making it really easy to fit into your schedule. And the price (about $15) for a two hour class, including all materials, is beyond reasonable. Instructors spend much of each class helping out beginners (of course), but always make a point to stop and check on everyone's progress. If this is your first time trying out ceramics, just be aware of a few things: It can be messy, so don't wear anything you're not ready to get a bit dirty. It takes at least two sessions to finish a piece, as you have to fire it once to solidify the clay, and then a second time after you glaze it. And last, it's not as easy as it looks! Don't get discouraged, it takes a lot more than a class or two to learn how to really work with and understand clay.
