Sit Means Sit has been an absolute game changer for me and my dogs. They’ve helped me train two dogs now, most recently a lab puppy who was completely out of control when we started. The transformation has been incredible. What I love most is that the training doesn’t just teach commands—it builds a real bond. My dog wants to work, wants to listen, and sees training as a game instead of a chore. The relationship I have with her now is priceless, and that wouldn’t have happened without this program. If you’re looking for training that actually sticks and truly improves your relationship with your dog, I can’t recommend Sit Means Sit enough.
We had a bit of a unique experience with sit means sit. We have a 2 year old border collie we got as a rehome from the people who had her since she was 7 weeks. We had a negative thing happen immediately after getting her so we got her into training to try to correct some behavior issues. It wasn’t with sit means sit, so she has done training before with another trainer who taught us basic obedience. But after several months, we still needed more reactivity help. So we signed her up for board and train for 10 days while we were out of town. When I picked her up she was crazy. Like more crazy than when I dropped her off. I was not happy at all with the amount of money I spent to get a dog that was supposed to be trained back, only to have a psycho dog who even the trainer was having issues with her listening at pick up. Within about 10 minutes of me leaving our attempted pick up training session, Emma (head trainer) called me and discussed options of things to try. To give it a couple of days, work on the stuff I was sent home with and other suggestions. The next day they called me again and were quite concerned and really wanted to make my experience with them a good one. They offered a redo on her training for as long as she needed to be there. So we brought her back a couple days later. I had some suggestions and requests which they took well and incorporated in her training. One being that I came in part way into the week and worked with her so she didn’t have 10 days without me again. They also did more outside training with her and had her on the treadmill daily or close to it, so she got her wiggles out. After another 10 days they felt like she was ready to come home. So we did pick up #2. This time it went much better. She was vocally argumentative because she wanted to come to me, but listened to the trainer and obeyed the collar refraining from jumping so much unless allowed. We ended up working with Emma at pick up and for a couple of private sessions after we picked her up, as she wanted to make sure all was going well after our first experience. I don’t know if it’s all border collies or if mine is just extra special, but the extra training was so helpful and definitely brought my review from what it might have been to a 5. :) Everyone was so nice and wanted to make sure we felt like we got our money’s worth and had a good experience. It’s not a cheap program but they made sure we finished it with a good experience. The fact that all of the trainers know her when we walk in is nice too. I don’t know if she’s famous or infamous with them but they definitely know who she is when we come in. :) We are starting group classes soon and we’ll see how that goes but so far so good, and they turned what could have been an awful experience into a really good one that I would highly recommend to anyone.
Sit Means Sit in Orlando has been incredible for our reactive dog. After completing a 15-day board-and-train program his improvement has been remarkable. The trainers and staff are the best! They are incredibly skilled in their work and truly invested in both the dog and the owner’s success. As part of our membership we have access to continued support through one-on-one sessions, group classes, and even phone and video guidance. Our family has felt supported every step of the way, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the progress our boy has made. Highly recommend! You won’t regret it!
Little Nellie, a pure beagle and I had a difficult start. She was 7 months when I first met Jen at Sit Means Sit. After learning about their program and getting a tour of the facility, I knew I found the right place for us!! Nellie got to know the staff quickly. I received updates on her progress and I felt the love. I got to meet each one of the trainers on our one on one training and they are willing to help Nellie as well as me!! They are compassionate and top notch experts! As soon as you walk in the door, you will find the staff so helpful and personable! When we return for our training or when Nellie spends the day in the daycare, Nellie knows she’s in a good place and looking for her four legged friends! We couldn’t be happier! Thank you to all of you there at Sit Means Sit!

Its scary at first putting your dog into training but the staff at sit means sit make you feel at peace that your dog will be well taken care of. I want to give a special shoutout to Sara!
