The past few times I have visited i have been so outwardly disrespected. I love the antique store and even liked a few employees who treated me with some dignity, but my past few experiences have changed my opinion completely. I went with a friend to try on some clothes and we had asked to use the fitting rooms, an employee didnt say "sure" they instead said "you two cant change together." We didn't ask to change together, we asked for a fitting room. Another experience is when I was carrying a basket and an employee came up to me saying and I quote, "all I see is broken glass with the way you are holding that." I was standing at the open area at the front of the store and the basket was being carried on my arm, the way you hold a basket. There are other situations but these were the weirdest ones. I work in retail as a TEENAGER and I have never once treated a customer with this kind of disrespect. I have had people break items, steal items, and even just be rude to me, but I would never handle these simple situations the way the employees at 6th Avenue Antiques did. Mind you, Most of them are young to older ADULTS. It sucks that a privately owned business in Tucson treats their customers this way.

This antique and vintage clothing shop is filled with 3 levels of some of the best and highest quality apparel, home goods and art in the Old Pueblo for sure. Priced a bit higher than other chic vintage stores but worth it for the quality of the items and the well maintained vendor booths. Street parking only but plenty in the area.

** ADDING TO MY REVIEW AFTER OWNER RESPONSE! It is clear from your response that you have missed the point. I do not need my experience to be validated or disregarded. I was there, and this is how I was left feeling as a customer. I hope other customers reading this review and your other poor responses to your bad reviews, will see that you, as a business, do not take any accountability. *** I’ve been here about 3x. It’s a fun antique shop. Staff usually greets you at the door. Today, I stopped at the counter with two items to try on. I was told by the clerk the fitting rooms were not available. Her response felt like a “NO” and not a,“they are in use and not available at this moment, would you mind waiting?” - type response. I wasn’t sure if I mistook her energy or not. Since I had kindly asked. And greeted her with a smile. As she said this a woman with clothes in hand walked out of the fitting room area and said her room was free. But instead of placing me into the fitting room. I was entirely ignored, while the clerk addressed the woman from the fitting room. Asking her if she had any return pieces and then began to ring her up. Honestly, this felt blatantly prejudice and gross. I was the only person of color in this situation. I no longer feel comfortable spending any money here and won’t return. The clerk was a blonde woman with glasses. I didn’t get her name. But I really hope others are met with KINDNESS AND PROFESSIONALISM IN THESE TIMES.

I love coming here quite often. I always find the most awesome things I didn't know I needed! Most items are pretty reasonably priced. I usually go for the porcelain and glass but they have a huge selection of clothing and some furniture. Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful.
