After a long, stressful week in the classroom, my coworkers and I decided to try out this rage room we’ve been hearing great things about. It was exactly the break we needed. We booked a 30 min session, got geared up, and spent the time smashing all kinds of stuff (glassware, furniture) with bats and other tools in their safe, controlled space. It was such a fun, cathartic way to blow off steam together. Left feeling way lighter and definitely laughing more than we had all week. Highly recommend for stressed teachers or anyone needing to let off some steam.

Boys had a blast and it’s such a fun way to get out their teenage angst. Cynthia & Nick were great helpers. Birthday party success!!

We brought a group of 16 to Smash City in San Jose to celebrate a birthday, and it was such a fun experience! We booked about 2 weeks in advance, and I’d recommend doing the same to secure your spot.
Things to know before you go:
-Wear closed-toed shoes. They provide gloves, coveralls, boots, and face protection, so you’re fully geared up.
-It does get hot in the gear and you’ll definitely work up a sweat, but the staff was kind enough to offer us water afterwards.
-Arrive at least 20 minutes early (they’ll need time to get everyone to sign waivers and suited up).
What you can smash:
On site, they had plenty of glass bottles, clay targets, and some larger items like barrels, tires, and metal pieces (not breakable, but still fun to take swings at). You can now bring your own breakables (glass, ceramic, or small wood furniture). We didn’t know about this ahead of time, but we were able to grab some extra items from the Goodwill about 5 minutes away, which made it even better.
Overall: The staff was super friendly and accommodating from booking to the end of our session. 30 minutes felt like plenty of time, especially with a group our size. My tips would be to book early and bring a few extra items to smash for variety.
Definitely recommend for birthdays, group outings, or if you just want to release some stress in a fun and safe way!

Not worth the $$$. The staff was nice. The rage room was a joke. We had a stack of clay pigeons and 24 beer bottles in the floor to break. The face guards smelled like horrible sweat. There was no air conditioning in 92 degree weather, it was such a a rio off. The only thing nice about the place was the staff. There are better places for sure. This one is not the place if you want to get your money's worth. 30 minutes, $45 a person, for some beer bottles and some clay pigeons to smash with dirty everything. I saw a staff member lightly lysoling sweating, stinky, jumpsuits and putting them back into the clean section. 1 out of 10 would not recommend. They need to do better or that place isn't going to stay in business.
