What a fun place to visit!!! I'm a teacher who accompanied my class to their field trip for the day. It's a kid friendly interactive science museum that is still fun for the whole family! They were super accommodating for wheelchair/walker accessibility and had an amazing planetarium show. I'm use a medical alert service dog and they knew the two questions to ask and were very helpful with anything I needed during my time here.
Not worth the price of admission, definitely overpriced. Paid $77 for 2 children, 1 adult. This price was for admission and for one of their planetarium shows. These prices are prohibitively expensive. Prices need to be cut by half to make it worth going. Exhibits are basic and not really entertaining. Staff seem uninterested and seem to only be there to clean-up the activity areas. More bang for your buck at other spots in Sac - Railroad Museum, Children's Museum or Auto Museum to name a few.
We loved loved this place and definitely will be back. Even my 21 yearl old and his girlfriend had fun. We got to build with the foam blocks, we saw our bones moving, guess the sounds of nature, went throw the runner of body movements and got to even make a commercial for uncovergirl with the fans. My bb loved the rocket shooter and stayed there for quite a time racing but for some reason she keep winning but I dont know why?, Even if we made our own fun with the learning instruments we did learn how the fans help to make light for our homes appliances to work and much much more. We did only stayed for an hr since we were late but will return with more time to enjoy every corner to the max. I do recommended for those little ones with alot of imagination now please dad's and mom's, enjoy the day, let the kids play and touch and use their imagination to the fullest.
Little costly but definitely worth it. Plenty of parking, there's a snack deli restaurant, planetarium, exhibits. Very cool and very interesting. I saw the night sky show at 1 pm. So informative I was stoked. I will be looking up tonight because I know how to find the north star and the story of Pegasus and Andromeda. So awesome! They have music themed 7 pm laser light shows as well. And 4 different other topics i can't remember of the top of my head.
The museum have a lot of interactive devices and it’s good for young kids to explore. The planetarium is great and the ticket costs $7 per person.
