Amy cut my 18 month old son’s hair and he has very tight curly hair. Amy did a great job. She put on Ms. Rachel and Elmo and was very kind. She even praised him throughout and was engaging with me. The other ladies were nice too. Great experience.

I’ve been bringing my 10-year-old to Snip-its since he got his first haircut at 1½ years old. Shortly after that, he started seeing his current stylist, and she has been the only person to cut his hair ever since. We absolutely love her. Unfortunately, my issue is with management. During COVID, when things were starting to reopen, the appointment reminders became excessive—constant texts that felt overwhelming and unnecessary. God forbid you were even five minutes late; your appointment would be canceled, which felt unreasonable. Another major concern is how the stylists are treated. They are given only 15 minutes per haircut. These are children—we all know kids don’t sit still, they cry, move around, and need patience. Expecting a stylist to give a quality haircut in 15 minutes is unrealistic and unfair to both the employees and the kids. Today was especially frustrating. I had an appointment for my son, and his stylist had a family emergency and couldn’t come in—which is completely understandable and not the issue at all. What is unacceptable is that management didn’t call, text, or leave a voicemail to let us know. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to the salon, only to arrive and be told she wasn’t there. The only reason I continue to come back is because of our stylist. If she ever leaves and goes elsewhere, we will absolutely follow her. Management seriously needs to improve communication and how they treat their staff.

We love Amy! Thanks for being so sweet with our toddler, he has the best time getting his haircut and gets so many compliments on how cute it is!

I brought my 5-year-old daughter in for a haircut today. This isn’t my first time using this company, but it was my first time visiting this particular location. My daughter has curly hair, and as always, I made sure it was straightened beforehand so it would be easier to cut. I specifically asked Amy if she knew how to cut curly hair, and she confidently said yes. However, she proceeded to wet my daughter’s hair and began cutting it while visibly nervous. I watched as she continued, and with every snip it became more uneven. By the time she was done, my baby’s hair was completely crooked and mismatched in length. I am genuinely in tears writing this. How do you do this to a 5-year-old? If you don’t know how to handle curly hair, all you have to do is say so. We would have happily left without an issue. Instead, my daughter’s haircut is now completely uneven, and I’m heartbroken and disappointed.
