Lucia was an absolute JOY to work with. She called me the night before to get to know my story and make sure I had all the info I needed for my appointment. She already had a whole rack of dresses pulled before I even got there based on what I told her I was looking for. I felt like a bride for the first time since I’ve been engaged. She celebrated me, went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, and was ultimately the main reason why it was SO EASY to SAY YES!!! Don’t go anywhere else… This place is outstanding!

This was a wonderful experience. And while Something New creates such a great atmosphere and experience, I have to give most of the props to our consultant Alexandra. She was so fun, in a very genuine way. She gently helped my daughter explore all types of dresses without inserting her own opinion. Until my daughter found the dress of her dreams. Alexandra was so professional and so much fun to work with. We just really wanted to say thank you and share our experience.

I booked an appointment with Something New after viewing their website and reviews and decided to make the three hour drive to find my dress. On the day of my appointment, an unexpected family illness came up and I ended up running about fifteen minutes late. Despite this, Madelyn met me with nothing but grace, excitement, and patience. I could immediately tell how passionate she was about personalizing the experience and making it feel truly special. She did a wonderful job setting the mood for finding my dress by asking thoughtful questions about my relationship, what our wedding day would look like, and the role our families would play so they could be involved as much as possible. I came in confident that I wanted a specific silhouette and design, but Madelyn surprised me by encouraging me to try a more fitted dress, something I never thought I would consider after having three children. To my surprise, that dress ended up being the one I said yes to. I really appreciated how she pulled dresses that aligned with my vision while also selecting styles she thought would flatter me, all while keeping my preferences in mind. She handled every hurdle I unintentionally threw her way with kindness and professionalism. Thank you for showing me so much grace, Madelyn. You are amazing, and I am so thankful you helped me find my dress. The only part of my experience that left me feeling uncomfortable happened afterward. The shop was offering a Christmas bag as a special gesture for saying yes to a dress near the holidays, which I thought was very thoughtful. I did not open the bag until I got to my car and noticed it only contained a plastic dress covering labeled pink dress. I was confused and assumed there may have been something missing, I don't think I'd be alone in that assumption. Later that same day, after touring my wedding venue, I returned to the shop with the bag to ask about it. I was met at the door by a stylist who said, “Oh no, you’re back.” I explained the situation, and she took the plastic bag covering, crumpled it, and said, “The bag was the gift,” in a very passive aggressive tone. She then dismissed me and walked away to help the next person, making me feel as though my question and our interaction was a waste of her time. Unfortunately, this left a sour note at the end of an otherwise beautiful experience.

Everything was phenomenal and I cannot recommend Something New Boutique to everyone I know! Lucia made an incredible connection with my friends and family I brought with me! She eased my nerves, gave us a complimentary upgrade, made me feel like a princess, and made an emotional connection with me that I will never forget on such a special day! Her personality and passion for this field is nothing like I have ever seen before, she is made for this job! Lucia was an expert as my stylist, knowledgeable manager of the store that day, and role model to the new employee she was training!
