Soul Yoga is one of those unexpected gems you’re grateful to find—especially as a traveler. Lubbock is very much a college town, and while it may not be overflowing with boutique studios, Soul Yoga truly stands out. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiling faces and genuinely warm energy. The space itself is beautiful—clean, airy, and thoughtfully designed with loft-style, New York–inspired vibes that feel modern yet welcoming. Diversity among both staff and students was noticeable and refreshing, and the overall atmosphere felt inclusive and positive. The location is ideal—right in the center of where things are happening, surrounded by active plazas and local spots. Booking was seamless through ClassPass (a huge plus for travelers), and the pricing was very affordable. Studios that are membership-only tend to lose people like me, and Soul Yoga does a great job staying accessible. The studio has two practice rooms and two bathrooms, which is always appreciated. While there is no on-site shower, it didn’t feel like a dealbreaker since this is a warm yoga studio rather than an intense hot yoga experience. Speaking of thoughtful touches—they sell electrolyte drinks (including some of my favorites), have cute branded swag, and offer complimentary mats, towels, and sweat towels. As someone traveling, not having to carry gear is a huge win. You can literally park, walk in, and start your practice. The class I took was held in a gorgeous room with large glass windows and beautiful natural lighting. The temperature sat around 86 degrees, which felt perfect—warm, cleansing, and comfortable. The instructor was fantastic: engaging, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. The flow, the conversation, and the overall energy made this a truly standout class. All in all, this was a 10/10 first experience. Soul Yoga is a bright spot in Lubbock and a studio I’d absolutely return to. Whether you’re visiting, new to town, or just looking for a feel-good yoga space with heart—this place is worth checking out.

Soul Yoga is such an incredible studio! The classes are always challenging in new ways, with each instructor incorporating a unique style so every practice is different. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care about your experience. The studio is always clean with generous amenities, like free use of mats, mat towels, props, and bottled water. The studio has fostered such an incredibly supportive and loving community, I felt at home from the first moment I stepped on my mat here. Classes are supportive for beginners and advanced yogis, with modifications incorporated throughout. I love the heated classes, and getting cold lavender towels at the end is just the perfect addition. Highly recommend for anyone interested in joining a studio in Lubbock!

Soul Yoga is AMAZING! I’ve been going frequently for 2 weeks and the hot aspect takes yoga to the next level. The teachers and other members are very friendly and the culture is welcoming. I had very limited yoga experience before starting here and it was easy to learn and adapt. Highly recommended.

I found this place about 8 months ago and I love this place. They have everything you need to practice, so there are very few barriers. The first class is free! All the instructors are amazing! They are very knowledgeable and helpful. The people who attend the classes are warm and welcoming. The space is clean and well maintained. They host workshops from time to time. This place has helped me really fall in love with Yoga. It challenges my body and mind. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great place to learn or expand their yoga practice.
